Yeah, I'm not very good at resolutions. That's why I don't usually make them. I said I would update a story every two weeks but I haven't updated since school started nearly 3 weeks ago. Sorry about that.

Anyway, this story is about a family that I've literally been developing for like 2 years at this point. Some have been OCs for longer than that. Now that I look back, these characters have been through so much development. I mean, Misaki used to be verbal. So yeah, I hope you all enjoy.

"I'm in some deep trouble, you have to help me!" Arato exclaimed as he burst into the kitchen where his sister, Raven, was standing having a drink of orange juice. Raven nearly spat her orange juice from the surprise of her brother's intrusion but didn't as she was used to it, having lived almost 19 whole years with him. Raven slammed her juice glass down and stared her brother in the eyes. There was a few moments of silence before Raven swallowed her juice and finally spoke to him.

"What crime did you commit? Because I know dad has a record of all our fingerprints."

"None. I got Claire pregnant." Arato blurted. Raven stared at her brother for a second before slowly putting her head on the kitchen counter. "I thought we discussed protection Arato." Raven sighed. She straightened herself up, walked over to Arato and gave him a harsh slap on the face. Arato screeched loudly in pain. The noise from his scream reached every part of the Meldewson family home, disturbing any sort of peace and quiet.

A small man that stood around 4 feet tall burst into the kitchen. He was the third child of the family and youngest member of the Meldewson triplets, Nicholas-Leonardo or 'Neo' for short. He looked up at peered at Arato through his green, square-shaped glasses. He had a rather disgusted look on his face. Next in came the twins, Saki and Misaki. Saki ran in, nearly kicking Neo in the face in the process. Misaki, however, shuffled herself in silently. Finally, the sixth and youngest child in the Meldewson family, Bradley, stumbled into the kitchen, his glasses nearly falling off his face. The kitchen was silent with only the noises of Arato heaving breathing and Saki jumping up and down in anticipation.

"Yeah, she...she thinks I'm actually using my football scholarship." Arato sighed to break the silence. Raven gave her triplet another slap.

"I thought you were interested in a teaching degree. I guess you figured out that you can't teach when you're at your level of stupid." Saki chuckled. Raven gave Saki a stared similar to their mother's angry look that she used to give. The focus then went back to Arato's pregnancy problem.

"Look, I just need to get into the college as soon as possible so she doesn't find out." Arato said, pulling out his laptop, sitting at the kitchen island and logging into his email.

Everyone went onto their usual activities while Arato stressfully filled out the application form for the college he got his scholarship from. It was around 10 o'clock at night when Raven walked into the kitchen to grab another drink of orange juice. She drank it then slammed the glass on the table yet again.

"You've been working on that form for 4 hours. How are you not done?" She asked in disbelief that Arato was still sitting at the computer and not working out or sleeping like he usually did around this time. Arato turned around and looked at Raven. Raven got a good look at his screen then. He was on his email, waiting for a reply from the college. Raven sighed and sat down beside him.

"So, why don't you just tell Claire that you're not a college course right now? I had to tell Lily that I couldn't live with her in her dorm because I was going to a different university and we're still together." Raven asked as she placed her hand on her brother's shoulder.

"It's not that she doesn't know. It's that I lied. I lied I was getting a teaching degree. She's going to think I'm stupid if I don't do this. So I have to do this, for both the baby's and my sake." Arato sighed.

"The truth has to come out eventually." Raven told him before standing up and heading back to her room to continue playing her video games.

Arato watched his sister leave as he heard a notification sound from his laptop. He got an acceptance notice but not for the next semester but for the next year. Arato sighed and put his face in his hands. He was about to break down into tears. He knew it would've been easier if he had done the application when Raven and Neo did theirs but he was in a bad state for the rest of high school after his mother's death the previous year. Arato turned off his computer and his phone rang. It was Claire calling him. Arato knew what he had to say. He took a deep breath and answered the phone call.

"Arato, where are you? My parents wanted you to come over tonight to see the first scans of the baby."

"Trust me, I would love to be there to see how the baby looks but I'm going to have to see them later."

"Why? Did your dad finally bite the dust or something?"

"Claire, I need to tell you something. It's really important so I need you to listen because it's really difficult to say this."

"What? Are you breaking up with me because you got me pregnant? I thought we were in this together! I'm going to-"

"Claire, sweetie, I would never break up with you. It's just that...I lied. I'm not in college right now. I've been visiting either my mom's grave or seeing a therapist. I...I just didn't want you to see me as a weak, dumb man."

"I mean, you could've told me. I would totally yell at you right now but I'm not going to. I understand losing your mom was hard back then and I'm here if you need support getting through college. I have to go, my mom really wants to see these pictures."

Claire hung up and Arato finally broke down into tears. It was one of the kindest and most accepting things someone had ever said to him about what happened to his mother. It was one of the biggest reliefs he had ever felt. He couldn't believe he heard that from the woman that used to be known as the "meanest girl in school", the girl whose whole skeleton was full of wicked bones and the one who nearly killed him over a messed up cheerleading routine because he flirted with one of the cheerleaders. Arato was finally ready to get up, walk up the stairs and go to sleep.

I have a few chapters of this story already planned. I'm mainly just going to introduce the character's one by one and even though Raven's the oldest, I felt like doing Arato because I feel like I have a better story for him. I also have a really good one for Misaki which I'm going to write as the next chapter. Also I'm thinking of making a discord server as a little fan base where you guys can talk to me. If you have an opinion on this, feel free to pm me or just leave a comment on this story. Thanks.
