We walked a short path, through the old autumn wood,
Till beneath that green tree, we now once again stood.
She spoke of that day, I carved our names on it's side,
The sharing of dreams, made our smiles become wide.

Our memories race back, to where it all would begin,
As she spread out a blanket, with a view of the glen.
Underneath the old tree, we'd make love once again,
For the smell of that sweet pine, was as it was then.

We flew back to our youth, when in love we were free,
I confessed how this moment felt like heaven to me.
And had I just this one wish and believed it could be,
I'd dwell by her always, beneath our evergreen tree.
