This city used to be
Unlike any other
So lovely and carefree
Full of every colour

It stood tall and proud
Towers reaching high
People laughing, being loud
I can't help but happy cry

I remember every street
Nook and cranny
I knew all the best places to eat
And where to go to be happy

I remember things so clearly
Every single detail
I used to be so cheery
So different from today

Now I am old and brittle
Not unlike this city
That was my joy when I was little
But is now far from pretty

However, its memory will forever live
Even after I'm long gone
Because the stories that I'll give
Will continue to go on
