The distance grew farther,

Her body grew colder,

The night took no mercy on her helpless figure,

She ran in fear.

The howls of the wolves startled her frail heart,

She ran even faster,

with the fear of being ripped apart,

Ducking through the trees, she saw the end.

They pounced,

and her fear became true,

She yelled and screamed,

But even she knew.

No one was coming for her.
