Are you ready to deal with your drug problem? If so, start by committing to change so you can cope with the cravings & deal with relapse, says Phil Lovin who has helped several people overcome addiction and restore their lives. However, committing to change isn't as easy as it seems to some, he adds.
Here are a few suggestions by Phil Lovin to help you successfully commit to change and regain control of your life:
- Note down the benefits of quitting drug abuse
- Think of all the things that are important for you, like your spouse, kids, health, career, etc. Now, dig into how addiction affects them all.
- Talk to someone you trust or look up to about their views on drug use.
- Take note of all that is preventing you to change, and think of how you can address the obstacles.
