The droning of the makeshift robot was a bit too high-tech for it's appearance, but that was simply icing on the cake. "Vince, I'm sure Dad was just having another one of his outbursts." The boy, Vince, scoffed. "Hmph. A two month 'outburst', Kira? Is that what you call it?" The girl, Kira, nodded. "I've talked to him each and every day about it. Maybe he'll relent finally and-" Vince narrowed his eyes, telling Kira everything she needed to know about his stance on the matter, before turning to his invention.

Standing before the 13-year-old twins was a robot made from the sturdiest pieces of scrap and wires that the homeless boy genius could get his hands on. He had fashioned a working hominid design and machine from said scraps and wires, and had even managed to develop an AI! But was it reliable? Only one way to find out.

"P.R.I.N.C.E." Vince said, and the robot responded to his given name. "Master Pryor." The junk-made automaton bowed, creaking as he did. Vince cleared his throat. "Take us to the Castle." To this, Kira looked almost dumbfounded. "Castle?" She barely managed, before the bot activated it's teleporter and transported all three of them out of the junkyard and to a different location. Kira's yelp of surprise as she was grabbed wasn't even audible over the flashing sound generated. Even Vince had closed his eyes in anticipation.

The Pryor Castle

In about a pico-second, the robotic creation had teleported the two youths to the destination he was ordered to. When they opened their eyes, both were amazed for different reasons. For just a moment ago, they were standing in a junkyard, in Vince's makeshift 'office' that he used for tinkering with any piece of metal he could get his hands on.

But now, the technological cornucopia surrounding them was almost alien in feel and appearance, yet also quaint and felt like a home. Specifically, their home. "Where…" Kira managed, but could not finish her statement. "If my calculations are correct, and it appears they very much are, we are more than likely at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean." Vince said, earning a head-tilt from his twin sister. "How?" She asked, at which point, PRINCE stepped up to answer.

"Through the guidance of Cero, and the efforts of Unus, Duas, Trojo, Quartun, and Fem." It was just now that Kira realized just how human-like PRINCE's voice sounded, and that disturbed her. Before she could voice it, Vince spoke up. "Just those six?" PRINCE shook its head. "No sir. They completed their primary task of building even more worker drones, to your specifications with no deviations in the designs or AI programming whatsoever. Within 3 short days, your drones were working on the building of this castle. They harvested the strongest materials they could from Mars and the asteroid belt, as ordered." Vince nodded, as Kira's jaw dropped.

"Good. How long did the construction take?" He asked, to which PRINCE buffered before finding the answer in his database. "1 month. Construction finished two days ago. Decoration is still currently ongoi-" PRINCE's servers glow, causing his eyes to go from pink to blue for a moment before returning to pink. "Decoration is complete." At this point, Kira finds her voice.

"You… Actually went through with it." She said, still clearly in awe. Her snarky wit was failing her at what she was seeing and hearing. She had seen secret labs on TV and in comic books, but this was real. Oh, so very real. She could see, hear and smell all that this lab contained and possessed. The chemicals being mixed produced a pungent smell, and the machines whirring and buzzing all around her was at once disturbing, yet oddly soothing. Vince laughed his characteristic, taunting laugh that could anger almost anyone into a fight.

"Ahahaha! Of course I did. Dad thought I'd just starve to death on the streets, and that I couldn't make it without him? Well, as you see, and as he and Mom will see, I didn't flounder. In fact, I'd say I've done pretty decently for myself." He said, beaming with pride, before turning to PRINCE.

"PRINCE, have the worker drones begin work on the battle drones. I got to give my sister a tour of the place."

Kira tilted her head. "PRINCE?" She inquired about the name, to which Vince nodded. "Personal Retainer, Intern, Negotiator, Counselor and Enactor. Guess you can say my first robot ever does a little bit of everything." Vince bragged, causing Kira to crinkle her nose at her brother's ego trip. However, the 12-year-old genius turned serious as he looked at his sister. She almost felt the change come over her brother.

"And when the battle drones and permanent worker drones are ready, we're gonna show it all to Mom and Jonny." Vince pointed said their father's first name, as opposed to calling him 'Dad'. Kira sighed. "Vince…" She began, to which the prodigal inventor glowered.

"ALL I asked for was him to treat me with a little respect. To not talk to me as if I was his property! To respect my boundaries! To not act like owning the house makes him unimpeachable!" Vince seethed in anger, and as he did Kira's face softened. She couldn't argue, and even if she did she knew her points would all fall flat.

"Uncle Aug respects his kids! Aunt Lucy respects her kids? Uncle P-Roq, Uncle Malcolm, Uncle Jules, EVERYONE ELSE in our family can respect their kids, except Jonny. He talks about me all the time, but look who threw their 12-year-old son out on the street for what amounts to a disagreement! He wants to talk about me having to mature, but look at how he reacts because he didn't want to argue with a pre-teen!"

Vince took a breath, before exhaling.

"Look, I'm tired of that. I'm tired of him taking my inventions, and selling them to warmongering politicians and corrupt cops. At least now, they can be used as they were intended." A tear came to Vince's eye as he remembered… her. Kira comforted her brother, also sharing in the moment.

"No matter what, my inventions will never be vilified."
