Oh no… oh no.
That voice…it belongs to Count fucking Dracula.
"Why did you bring me here? You just brought me to the lion's den!" I say, raising my voice angrily.
To make a long story that I don't even know all of the details to short, my father and Count Dracula do not get along. At all. They are enemies and being around my father's enemy is not the smartest thing I could do.
"Wait, you know who he is?" Victor asks.
"Yes, I know who he is! That's Count Dracula!" I shout.
Count Dracula laughs and his wife, Countess Dracula comes.
"Father, this is Angelina Carter. She's my fiancée." Victor explains.
Count Dracula bursts into laughter again. Countess Dracula smacks her husband's arm to make him stop laughing.
"That girl, she is not a human! Her real name isn't Angelina Carter." Count Dracula says.
Victor turns to me. "What is he talking about?"
"Victor…I-I can explain. I can explain everything." I say.
"Victor? Oh, this is bloody hilarious!" Count Dracula laughs.
"Sweetheart, I can explain!" Victor says quickly.
"Nathaniel, explain yourself!" Count Dracula shouts.
"Nathaniel? You're…you're the son of Count Dracula?"
"Yes. I'm the son of Count Dracula. My real name isn't Victor Griffin. It's Nathaniel Dracula." He says, his voice full of sadness.
Oh no. Why did he have to be the son of Count Dracula? How the hell is this even going to work out?
"Your little fiancée is a filthy liar, son. She's been keeping secrets from you too it seems! Because I highly doubt, you'd willingly be with Count Black's daughter!" Dracula shouts.
Victor-I mean Nathaniel turns to me. "Is… is that true?"
"Yes. My real name is Elizabeth Black, I'm the daughter of Count Black." I say.
"How could you do this to me? How could you lie to me for three years?" Nathaniel says, his voice full of betrayal.
"How could I? How could you? You've been doing the same damn thing to me for three years too!" I say, my voice full of betrayal as well.
"I never told you because I was scared, I feared losing you. If you knew I was a vampire, you would've left me." Nathaniel says.
"That's why I never told you. I do love you, that was never a lie. I always told the truth when I said I love you." I say, trying to force myself to not cry.
Dracula smiles. "I never liked your stupid family. They were never as worthy as my family and I. You foolish girl, you, the daughter of Count Black coming to Castle Dracula? That's got to be one of the stupidest things I've ever seen! Too bad you're not leaving here alive. I'm going to kill you. Your darling father wouldn't be too fond of that however, which is one reason I'll happily do it."
"No father! No, you're not going to kill her. Just let her go." Nathaniel says.
Dracula sighs angrily. "Fine then. Just go you filthy liar! You've done enough damage! If you ever show your face around here, you're dead! Stay away from my son!"
"I'm so sorry, Nathaniel. I love you, even if you now hate me." I say and then I leave. Rushing back to my castle.
I hate myself for lying to him. I should hate Nathaniel for lying to me, but I can't. I still love him despite everything. I should hate him because he is Count Dracula's son, but I've never had a problem with any of the Draculas. My father has always been the one who expressed nothing but hatred for them.
I don't think Nathaniel and I should have to hate each other just because of our fathers.
My parents see me and immediately run to me.
A/N: I obviously do not own the character of Count Dracula. But I still thought it would be best to clarify that.
