div class="mediumText reviewText" style="font-size: 14px; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, serif; line-height: 21px; margin-top: 10px;"strongMURDER. SUCH A NOSTALGIC/strong word. Elisabeth Hunt quietly considered what the world would be like without Maynar Durian in /br /emNot a very interesting one/em, she admitted to herself. Still, for almost the five years she had known him, she either wanted to be kissing him, or planning his /br /"Which one is it today?" Maynar said, ramming his narrow ass on the grass beside /br /"Which one is what?" she snapped, grinding her /br /"Do you want to kill me today ... or kiss me?"br /br /Lizzy huffed out an irritated breath. Never mind the fact that he could somehow read her thoughts. "Do you really want me to answer that? Because if I do, I'll take action."br /br /He shrugged, grinning. "The kiss might be worth it."br /br /Maynar frowned at her wicked smirk. "Never mind. No matter how much I like your smile, it still terrifies me."br /br /"Enough flirting, you idiots. Find Angelina," Nylie Addler snapped, her might bearing down on /br /Maynar raised a brow. "I thought you two made it clear that you would stay on opposite sides of the planet. Since when did you care where she is, anyway?"br /br /"Since when did I start asking your opinion?" she replied, not looking back as she began stomping off towards Lizzy's /br /Maynar raised his hands up in surrender. "Your little sis? Probably what she's usually up to. Wreaking havoc upon the earth."br /br /Nylie glared at him. "Don't just sit there on your flat ass. Help me find her."br /br /"Hey, leave my flat ass out of this."br /br /"When I get back, I better see you looking for her." Nylie walked away, her black hair glistening, even in the darkness. Maynar turned to /br /"We're alone. emTogether,/em" he whispered, winking. Lizzy stomped on his foot as hard as she could. Then she galloped after her retreating friend, relishing Maynar's yowl. It was no secret how she felt about him. Still ... he didn't have to be so obvious about it. She had emclass,/em for Circe's /br /Well, some semblence of /br /"Nylie," Lizzy moaned, catching up to her friend and reaching the ends of her dark hair. She didn't get close enough. Nylie turned - just barely - her eyes flashing /br /Lizzy laughed, unfazed. "Why do hate it so much when people touch you? Even me?"br /br /"Don't worry about it. Find Angel."br /br /emHow the hell did we even become friends?/em On a good day, Nylie was cold - detached. She wasn't like her friend Rehan, who didn't speak at all, but she was heartless, even to her friends. She had always been that way; she probably always would /br /"emYou/em find her. I'm not trying to die in my own house," Lizzy /br /Nylie didn't turn, didn't even look in her direction. Lizzy could not recall one time her friend had ever made eye contact with anyone. It was only those fleeting moments when she would look you dead in the eye. But when she did, her eyes pierced straight through you, that utter resolve and defiance in her gaze. You could always tell what she felt, just by the way she looked at you. It was why a lot of people didn't like Nylie, but it was for the same reason that Lizzy did. Her friend had the worst poker face in the world, but she was real with how she felt; she did not try to hide /br /"Not gonna lie, you scare me a little," Lizzy said as Nylie opened the front door, letting it bang against the opposite /br /"I didn't ask," she replied, quickly ducking her head to see beneath the kitchen counter, searching for her little sister among pots and /br /"She's emsixteen/em, for Circe's sake. I think she's a little old to be hiding in closets," Lizzy said helpfully, watching an irritated Nylie - the emnormal/em Nylie - slam the wooden closet door /br /"Get out here, you insolent brat. I can't wait to get my hands on you!"br /br /Lizzy looked at her friend, concerned. "Why are you even looking for her? I think it would be best to just leave her be. You know, for emall/em our sakes."br /br /"That little idiot stole my necklace, even after I hid it. How did she even find it?"br /br /"She's clearly not an idiot, since she found it."br /br /If looks could kill, Lizzy would already be halfway to her next life. She put up her hands. "My bad. Just giving suggestions."br /br /"Did I - "br /br /"I know, I know, you emdidn't ask./em I'll just shut up, then."br /br /"I appreciate that."br /br /Lizzy glared, then opened her mouth and said, "Angel, Johan brought donuts!"br /br /Nylie smirked, folding her arms across her chest. In the distance, the two girls heard a door slam, and a slow pattering of /br /Angel was an exact reflection of her sister; it was probably why they hated each other so much. Sharing the same long, black hair, striking blue eyes and fair skin, it wasn't hard for people to mistake the two for each other. Lizzy always felt a bit uncomfortable around Angel; it was simply unnatural for a sixteen-year-old to be that gorgeous. But Nylie had looked exactly the same a year /br /Angel sniffed. "I don't see any fucking donuts."br /br /"Watch your emdamn/em mouth, you brat," Nylie /br /Lizzy sighed, training her eyes on the ceiling. emHere we go./embr /br /"I'm only following in the footsteps of my big sister, that's all," Angel said /br /Nylie gritted her teeth and flexed her fingers. That could only mean one /br /"Should I be intervening right now, or ... " Lizzy /br /Angel's gaze fell on her. "You lied."br /br /"So?"br /br /Angel's smile was dazzling. "Just don't expect my trust again."br /br /Lizzy shook her head. "I see you're taking after your sister just fine."br /br /They both glared at her. She groaned. "I'm leaving."br /br /As she trudged out of her house, Lizzy gazed upwards at the Sun that would disappear in a matter of days, its weak rays spilling across the bleak sky. She had to squint to see the sparse trees and patches of grass that littered her yard. It was hard to believe that in one week, no one would ever see the Sun /br /It hung limp in the sky, as if only gravity was holding it up. And as the clouds began to shelter what was left of the sunlight, Lizzy continued to gaze at it, like the dying embers was all she had./div
