Lee Weiss is a certified substance abuse counselor from New York who has been working in the field of substance abuse from the past many years. He believes that music can provide an emotional release & creative outlet that the traditional talk therapy and various other modalities cannot.

Lee Weiss, as the CEO of Elev8 Centers emphasizes on utilizing every component of music in a therapeutic means for addiction treatment. Talking about how music is used in addiction treatment at his detoxification and rehab facility, he shares that it includes everything from listening to songs, compositions, instrumentals, or other kinds of "sound"; to playing of notes on instruments as "vibrational" healing or guidance for meditation. Besides that, it also includes learning how to play an instrument, songwriting, producing music electronically, and discussing about life-changing albums, the power of music, and how it can change the world, or impact people's lives.
