Jay Sawyer from Northbrook shares the importance and benefits of net neutrality. He agrees with the fact that it allows all types of traffic to travel across their networks without discrimination. It states that all sites and applications should be treated equally and not subjected to traffic shaping, bandwidth throttling, and other means of control that serve ISPs commercial interests.
Sawyer feels that net neutrality is a principle which states that all traffic on the internet should be treated equally and there should be no discrimination by Telecommunication companies. In addition, the service providers should not differentiate this service with different forms and categories of traffic on the internet.
According to Jay Sawyer from Northbrook, if there's no net neutrality, internet service providers (ISPs) can discriminate against websites or services and regulate what users can and can't see. Net neutrality means that no one with more money receives special treatment. Without net neutrality, ISPs can slow down the websites or services of small businesses that can't afford to pay for the so-called fast lanes.
He feels that net neutrality comes with freedom of expression. ISPs shouldn't be able to block content or slow down webpages just because they don't like them. With no net neutrality, nothing stops them from censoring online content.
