This Town

When I am in this town,
Can't help but be broken down.
This place is hell,
So I might as well
Stay.
As I wander these streets on my own,
Looking at all the hearts of stone.
I can't help but wonder,
Where is the thunder,
That made me free?
Where is light,
That makes it all right?
Where does my life go,
While I wander in the snow?
No one here but me.
When I am in this town,
Can't help but be broken down.
This place is hell,
So I might as well
Stay.
The icy inferno that stole my heart,
No more Romeo 'where thou art.'
No more feelings in this place,
It's hostile and lonely like outer space,
See the stars everywhere.
The people walk,
The people talk,
They look around,
This lonely town,
But none of them can care.
When I am in this town,
Can't help but be broken down.
This place is hell,
So I might as well
Stay.
So I escape now,
Leave this stage with a final bow.
In order to survive,
I must remember that I am alive.
When I was in that town,
Couldn't help but be broken down.
So I finally got to leave,
And just look at me,
Now.
