The next morning, Fyona sheepishly crept into the council meeting room, her eyes at the ground. She knew what was coming next, and she was trying desperately to prepare herself for it. She looked up to the nearest council member, there was five of them now, and asked; "Should I take off my clothes?"
The man shook his head. "No, we will not be doing that today," he said, grimly.
Fyona nearly sighed in releif. It was as if a great weight had been lifted from her shoulders. "...Then why have I been called here?" She asked, trying to keep her elation from showing.
"...To inform you of your purpose among us." the councilman said.
"Purpose?" Fyona asked, puzzled.
"...You are a Mystran elf, a half-god in your own right, is that correct?"
Fyona nodded. "Yes, I am..."
"...Your purpose among us, Mystran, is to help us forge a new world."
"What?!" Fyona exclaimed. "How the hell am I supposed to do that?!" she said, losing her composure.
"...Silence. Watch your tounge, and keep down your voice. We are going to purge your mortal side, and give you to Diabolos, as his bride."
Fyona stepped back. "W-What?!"
"...That is your purpose, Mystran. And until the day that you reach the proper age, you will remain in this city, under guard. Is that understood?"
Fyona shook her head. "...No, that's not understood, dammit! I don't want to be the wife of some evil old god with a lolita fetish!"
The councilman slapped her across the face. "Silence! You will not speak down about lord Diabolos!"
Fyona spat out some blood on the ground, and rubbed her cheek. "...I wish those men would of killed me in the cave three years ago..." she said in dwarvish, a tounge she knew that the shadow elves would not understand.
"...Remove yourself from our prescense, girl. And don't let us catch you speaking down about Diabolos again. Your punishment will be far more severe."
Fyona turned on a heel, and ran all the way home, to find Adelynn sitting on her doorstep. She stood up, and looked at Fyona, a little worried.
"Are you alright?! What happened?!" Adelynn asked, looking over Fyona.
"I... I'm fine... In a sense."
"...In a sense? Huh?"
"...Let's go inside and talk about it, okay?"
And, with that, the two went inside. Fyona explained it all to Adelynn; Her sacrifice to Diabolos, and that they would stop raping her... At least, for now. It seemed, that, though this was all quite bad, that some good would come of it; She would no longer have to deal with the abuse of the high council. But, you never knew when they would reverse a decision like that...
"...Gods, Fyona... I can't beleive they're going to sacrifice you to... Diabolos... of all the gods, it had to be him..."
Fyona nodded. "It's disturbing, isn't it? I want nothing to do with men as it is, let alone giant evil immortal demon-me," she said, almost under her breath.
Adelynn sighed. "...It figures... You'll live your life without even knowing what love really is..." "...I... I didn't think of that..."
"...And, so will I."
Fyona frowned. "...Huh, Adelynn? What do you mean?"
Adelynn sort of blushed, and looked down. "There is someone that I am in love with... But, I will never be allowed to love that person, for it is forbidden..."
Fyona sighed. "...Who is it? Anyone I know?"
She laughed, nervously. "Yes, actually..."
"...Who? Pharmakeia? One of the higher prefects in the mage school?"
"Fyona, I wouldn't touch Pharmakeia with a ten foot pole. And the prefects in the mage school are boring..."
Fyona thought. "Then, who? You have me positively stumped."
Adelynn sort of fidgeted. "I... I can't..."
"Oh, c'mon, you can tell me anything, Adelynn!"
Adelynn sighed. "Promise me, promise me, that you won't be mad, okay?"
Fyona nodded. "Why would I be mad, anyway? I don't like any of the guys around here, so it's not like I'd be jealous or anything... So, speak up, who is it?"
Adelynn answered not with words, but with actions. She leaned over to Fyona, and kissed her on the lips, a kiss not of friends, but of lovers. At first, Fyona was surprised, by found herself returning Adelynn's kiss with a certain passion. After a few moments, they broke the kiss, and stared into each others eyes.
"Fyona... I'm in love with you, and I always have been..."
Fyona smiled. "I don't know why I didn't notice it before, Adelynn... But I... I'm in love with you, too."
Adelynn hugged Fyona, tightly. "Fyona... I... I'm sorry I didn't say anything before..."
Fyona smiled, and nodded. "It's alright..." She said, dreamily. She felt different for once... She felt, for the first time in her life, that she was loved.

(Okay, the first four chapters are up. I put these all up in one day, by the way, that's why there isn't any commentary at the beginning or end of chapters two and three. I'll put some more chapters up soon enough, I just need to get into the spirit of writing them. I do have plans to continue this story for at least another ten chapters - There's much more I need to document about Fyona. :])
