Author's Note: =) I'm very proud of this one.
Oh, if we could but sigh to every man's need by candle light
And shame to bury 'neath breaths of truth these lips of off'rd might
Hide ev'ry fallen finger, wisdom of sheathed minds having writ
With ink to pour not short words from quills, but pools of unsung wit
'Ere I stand, my head unhooked from ropes of Death's burgeoning trade
Neither staring, nor looking, nor comprehending as I fade.
Pests of a locust's touch and hue reap fields of Truth's citation
We see bane produced hundred-fold, regretting all Creation
