TheWorldComesDown.html Disclaimer: . . . Yeah. Right. My poem/song, my lyrics.
Summary: This is about what happens when everything's perfect and right when we think we've got it all figured out, things go and change on us and we have to find a new way to survive and we have to keep trying even when we think we might collapse.
Author's Note: This is dedicated to every single one of my friends. Sorry it's a depressing one.

The World Comes Down

Home is where the heart is
But the heart's been broken
Shattered into pieces
Scattered little tokens
Of the life we once had
When our paths were chosen

And that's what happens when the world comes down
Don't look back 'cause you know we're surrounded
Homes in the dust and cities all around
Nature's the only one that's been left crowned
Fear takes ahold, hope ceases to astound
Screaming out loud without making a sound
And you know if there's one thing that I've found
It's the tarnished silver lining on this cloud

Throw caution to the wind
Go ahead, take chances
Ignore the passers-by
Forget all the glances
Just go out on a limb
Don't fall from the branches

This is what happens when the world comes down
Homes in the dust and cities all around
And if there's one thing that I've found
It's the tarnished silver lining on this cloud

And if the sky falls down
We may not be standing
When jumped from so high
We crashed on the landing
Holding others up
Without understanding
why

Because this is what it's like when the world comes down
The fear takes hold and hope ceases to astound
'Cause this is what it's like when the world comes down
Our homes are in the dust and cities all around
And we're the sole survivors that have been left crowned
But will we ever survive when the world comes down?
And is this how we'll live when the Heaven's crash down?
And if there's just one thing in this world that I've found
It's there's a tarnished silver lining on our cloud
