Immortality's Cost

Times are short,
Sorrow-filled,
But sweet and warm as well;

Though friends fall,
Through it all,
Life goes on, though sometimes fell.

Eagles fall,
Eagles rise,
Through the torn and bloody skies.
Blood-red sun,
The only one
To live is the one who dies . . .

Mem'ries of
Those passed away
Linger 'round those still alive . . .

Empty specters,
Through it all,
Are strewn about the ravaged skies . . .

Aces fall,
Aces rise,
Strewn about the war-torn skies . . .
Eternal ties,
No-one lies-
But frailities plagues us all.
