The walls of the school
Are all painted different colors
Sometimes just brick
But they're all taken care of
And radiate good impressions

The bathroom is different
The paint on the stalls is cheap
And you can chip it away
Bit by bit
And if you chip away a bit of grey paint
It's blue underneath
And under the blue it's white
Because they just keep painting over again
Layer by layer
There are so many colors not seen
Buried under layers of paint

People paint themselves a color
To radiate an impression
But so many layers are unseen
And the outer layer is sometimes so tough
You can't even begin to chip it away
And you sometimes wonder
About all the possibilities
If one layer of paint
Could be chipped away
And what it could reveal
