Vixen Queen
She who lived and She who died
She who stood boldly at His side,
She cared and She was kind
She loved Him through the rind.
He who lived and He who died
He who cheated, hit, and lie,
He never cared for She,
Wealth and power was all that He could see.
Why did She love Him so?
A kind and gentle man She'd never know,
But She was loyal to the crown
And to His Highness She was bound.
She was the Sacrifice from Her land,
Given and wed to His cruel hand.
And to He that didn't care
She would have to give and heir.
He who lived and He who died
He cheated, hit, and lied,
Ignorance was His greatest foe
Wealth and power was all that He would ever know.
She who lived and She who died
She who stood boldly never cried,
A cruel, heartless man She did find
Though She loved Him through the rind.
AN: One or my very rare rhyming poems! I usually don't write rhyming poetry but I wrote this one based on a outstanding fantasy trilogy, Farseer, written by Robin Hobb. I know, the title doesn't really fit but you would have to read the book as I said. You probably won't understand part of the poem without reading the trilogy. Even so, the poem is not very accurate. I recall someone asking why I always wrote angsty or drama poetry so I decided to post this to prove them wrong. It may be a little sad, but it defiantly doesn't fit in the angst category.
On another more depressing note, I don't think I will be continuing my Harry Potter story, Opposing Elements, anytime soon. I've found I'm not the best writer and the plot wasn't anything new, but this is not the place to be discussing other works.
