Plummeting
down through the skies,
Silently
before our eyes
Tragedy
belongs on a cinematic screen.
People
trapped, forced to await
Certainty
of deadly fate
Silent winds
echo with their screams.

Burning, soaring down.
Crashes thru the busy town.
Tell me that nothing is as it seems...
as long as noone pinches me I can say it's just a dream.

Walkin thru the devastation,
this is not my town.
Tall confidences of a nation
razed to the ground
Once they were so tall and proud
now look at the charred remains.
Evry face that passes me
with dust and tears is stained.

Burning, soaring down,
they crashed thru the busy town.
Please tell me nothing is as it seems...
cos as long as noone pinches me I can say it's just a dream.

Dazed, confused people
wander aimlessly.
Searching for those steeples
where they used to be.
Other faces: troubled,
search for loved ones they have lost
sifting thru the rubble
as they try to assess the cost.

Burning, soaring down
they crashed into the busy town.
Please tell me nothing is as it seems...
just as long as noone pinches me, I can say it's just a dream.

Tell me it's just a dream...
all these people looking lost.
Tell me it's just a dream...
all those people we have lost.
Tell me it's just a dream...

But out of these ashes soon,
a phoenix will arise.
Shake off the dust and spread it's wings,
raise our spirits up to the skies.
And the towers will be rebuilt
taller and stronger than before.
at the moment it's just a dream,
but soon it'll be much more.

Burning, soaring down
they crashed into the busy town.
Please tell me nothing is as it seems...
just as long as noone pinches me
so please make sure noone pinches me
it's too late, reality's pinched me, and I gotta admit it's no dream.
But a better future's comin, and it's gotta be closer than it seems.
