"Marriage"

Marriage crumbles and marriage falls
The love that was cannot survive it all.
Day after day it's all the same:
Hurtling insults and ugly names.

Your action lacks conscience, my words lack depth
I watch from the sidelines as marriage falls to her death.
He loses his temper and you lose yours
While I sit by and hurt to the core.

Marriage is void of the love it once had
Passion is gone, never to be shared.
And coldness slowly settles and envelopes us all;
Marriage crumbles and marriage falls.
