Maniac"

By Ami E. Bowen

Lurking in darkness, in shadows, in parks

Searching for fun, a game or a lark

Some poor, innocent fool.

Who never knew the rule

The game's always played as I see fit

And it matters not where you'll be hit

As long as the risks are mine to take

As long as your hell is the one I make

In horror I was concieved, in pain did my mother bleed

As from her womb I sprang, clutching the knife and a warning heed

Never walk alone at night, I'm slick as oil and twice as swift

Silence embraces me

You'll never realize until I'm there

And my manical gaze is the last thing that you will ever see

"Maniac"
