This tear that runs down my face
Carries with it all the pain,
And all the hurt and fear
That I am feeling now.

A sparkling droplet so clear,
Holds all my troubles and worries.
It courses down my face
Creating a shimmering trail.

When the sky and the earth collide
You will find me stargazing,
Because my mind is in
A world so very far away.

My heart has been shattered,
My emotions scattered on the wind.
Each shredding pain is caught
In a single liquid crystal.

A father's love, false at best,
Non-existent at worst.
It causes more grief than joy,
And this tear shines with agony.
