This was for my english class... it's so pathetic I felt compelled to post it.

Ode to Socks

On frigid nights and wintry days,
As icy airs descending
Deny the blazing sun's warm rays,
Thy presence is unending.

Ever mellow, fuzzy, soft,
Though miniscule, thy calm heat
Doth warm and hold my heart aloft
While unfreezing my chill feet.

Then whilst I sleep if covers prove
Too short to aid my heating,
Towards my sock drawer I then may move,
Insomnia defeating

O comforter and preventer
Of horrid painful blisters
Seldom art worn without thy mate,
Despite trading with sisters.

From toes to ankles, sometimes knees,
Goose bumps have no dominion.
Balled up together if you please
To entertain some minion.
