The World That We Cannot See
By Slick
The world that we cannot see, may be a battle between good and evil.
There might be a girl in this world that knows that a battle is going on around her, who knows that its believable.
She can feel hot and humid breath of demons on her neck,
She can feel the brush of angel's wings, coming to fight for what's wrong, or correct.
Sometimes she walks into a room and can feel the evil coursing through it,
She knows that something is about to happen, a battle is about to be fought in it.
She knows that she angels of God and the demons of Satan, are standing face to face,
Fighting over her body and soul, as she knelt on the floor and prayed to God, to banish the demons from this place.
She knelt in the center of her living room, she closed her eyes very tight,
As she waited for the ranks of heaven and the ranks from under the earth to clash together in a deadly fight.
She prayed for her soul, and she prayed for her mind,
And she prayed that God would look upon this insignificant human and be kind.
She felt an overwhelming sense of peace as the ranks began to fight,
And she knew that God had answered her prayers and that everything would be alright.
The angels surrounded her in a circle, swords drawn as she knelt on the floor and prayed,
Their glowing white ranks looking into the darkness, looking for the glowing yellow eyes of the black ones, their bodies tensed and strained.
And then with a hideous cry the demons advanced, their glowing red sabers drawn,
Their black leathery skin and their glowing yellow eyes plainly saying, "Nothing can now go wrong!"
Their grins exposed glistening, dripping white fangs, their awful howls were unnerving,
And the angels watched the demons advance, their eyes forever turning.
The angels protected the soul and body of an innocent young girl's life,
And all the demons sought to bring was, hate, regret and strife.
They sought to come and kill the soul, to come and destroy the mind,
To keep the girl from searching out God, the only salvation that she could find.
The angels sent from Heaven above, from God the Father, stood true,
Their swords drawn and ready in their strong hands, waiting for the demons to make one wrong move.
Swords clashed and sparks flew, from every spiritual sword,
Dark eyes met bright ones, fangs glistened, lips pursed, and not one of them spoke a word.
There were anguished screams and terrifying yells as demons were defeated and disappeared in wisps of black smoke,
The angels pressed on, swinging their swords, and with God's blessing, not one of them was smote.
The demons fought hard,
The angels fought harder,
The demons screamed in rage,
The angels yelled louder.
Fangs dripped and swords flew,
The demons were strong,
But with God's blessing,
The angels were too.
Finally there was silence in the room, not a demon had been left standing,
The angels stood tattered but victorious, and the girl lifted her hands and praised God and cried unashamedly.
The angels put comforting hands on her, and thanked God for another soul won over,
Then left the house and surrounded it keeping it forever under cover.
God will forever protect that house, with and from the world that we cannot see,
If you trust in him, God will protect you too for many years, I know this, for He has protected me.
The End
(I'm not saying that this 'world that we cannot see' in particular exists, but I am saying that one is out there somewhere.)
