Darkness
I sit in a dark room
My head in my hands
Completely dark
Completely silent
Not a noise is heard
Except the clock
Ticking seconds of life away
A reach up to turn the light on
Rays of dismal light shine down upon me
This glow sets a new tone to the room
It lights up the crumpled papers on my desk
My silver necklace is now a mere blinding light
But what I notice most of all
Was not what light was reflected off of
But what it shined through
Tears sit on my desk, touched only by the light
Perfect little droplets; perfectly round and smooth
Now disappearing from the rays of the bright lamp
The salty evil left no trace of themselves under the light
If only the sadness which caused them could vanish as quickly
I sit in a dark room
My head in my hands
Completely dark
Completely silent
Not a noise is heard
Except the clock
Ticking seconds of life away
A reach up to turn the light on
Rays of dismal light shine down upon me
This glow sets a new tone to the room
It lights up the crumpled papers on my desk
My silver necklace is now a mere blinding light
But what I notice most of all
Was not what light was reflected off of
But what it shined through
Tears sit on my desk, touched only by the light
Perfect little droplets; perfectly round and smooth
Now disappearing from the rays of the bright lamp
The salty evil left no trace of themselves under the light
If only the sadness which caused them could vanish as quickly
