Chapter 4 : Sapphire's Secret

When Sapphire, Jason, and Berso returned to Jason's quarters, Sapphire walked up to Jason "I know we've known each other since I was little, and you did raise me. But I couldn't bring myself to tell you my secret." Jason looked at Sapphire "Why? For as long as we've known each other, why couldn't you tell me?" She paused. "Because I was afraid on how you would react to it, I was afraid you wouldn't want to know me anymore." Berso was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed "Just tell us and we'll worry on how we react to it when you are
finished." Sapphire walked a couple steps away from Jason and Berso, and then turned to
face them both "It has a great deal of explaining, but I will do my best." She took a deep breath, and began "Long ago, in the time of Atlantis, there was a stone called the Lodestone. This stone held great power, but only the Gifted could have this power. The Gifted are people with a
great deal of power and magic. The Gift contains Telepathy, Telekinesis, and Telegnosis. The ability to move between Time and Forever, between past and present, between the world and its shadow. The Gift can manifest itself in many ways, and you must learn its use. But that is just a brief explanation of the Gift, now back to the Lodestone and my secret. If one of the Gifted placed their hand on the Lodestone, they could feel its power. Zohräne, queen of Atlantis and the
most powerful of the gifted, was driven by madness and the want for more power. So one day she broke the Lodestone, which was supposed to be impossible, to this day no on knows how she did it. But one of the fragments of the stone took shape of a key, a key that could open the Gate of Death. Zohräne took the key and opened the Gate, which brought the great wave that destroyed Atlantis. Sometime during the destroying of Atlantis, the seed of the Gifted was
spread throughout the world. To this very day, there are people with the Gift that roam the Earth. And that is my secret, I am one of the Gifted." Berso and Jason sat silent, and Sapphire added "I cannot be here long, Azmordis has been calling me. Azmordis is one of the Old Spirits, and probably a variant of Asmdeus. In Christian legend Asmodeus was one of the right-hand demons
of Satan. Soon, Azmordis will realize I am no longer under his control, and he will come looking
for me. He might even harm you, Jason, in the process. And I could not live with myself if he had. So, soon, I must go to him." Sapphire thought for a minute "Jason, do you remember when I was little, that I would sneak out at night?" Jason nodded, and Sapphire continued "I was going to Caracandal, also known as Ragginbone. He was my mentor, the one who tought me to use my Gift. That is why I always snuck out at night." Jason and Berso continued to remain silent, Sapphire sighed "I need to know what you two think. I need to know if I will continue this journey with you, or if I should just return to Azmordis and my old ways." she shuddered "I don't even
want to remember what he has done to me......and what he will do to me if I return to him. So tell me what your answer is, so I can figure out my own answer."
Sapphire sat outside waiting for Jason and Berso's answer on her secret. They told her that they would summon her when they came up with an answer. She could feel Azmordis calling her, and it scared her. She remembered all that he put her through, and she didn't want to go through it again. He scared her so much words couldn't even describe it. She could feel his call getting stronger. Either he was getting closer, or he was using stronger magic. Sapphire decided to drown out his summon by relaxing herself. She lied down in the grass and closed her eyes, waiting for Jason and Berso.

~ ~ ~ ~

Jason sat and thought. "I raised her, how can I just let her go like this?? Berso, I will ask you this only one time, I know we've had out differences before, but for the sake of this young child shall we join our forces and defeat Azmodis?? I believe we can." Berso looked at Jason. "I understand and so does God. He has given me the strength to endure your ways. Yes, let's protect her. Sapphire come in here!" Sapphire walked in and looked at Jason. "Yes??" Jason smiled at her. "After so many years of rasing you, I cannot allow you to fall to the demon lord once again. No matter what your gift is, I will protect you. Your father had wished it while you were gone, before he passed away. Your father was a great man, and I will not go back on my word." Jason and Sapphire hugged. "Thank you, but what about you Berso??" Berso looked up at her and smiled. "God has chosen you to live with us, so I shall also protect you as much as I can. I'm no fighter, but my magic will help a little. I hope." The 3 went to the inn and had a good night's sleep.

~ ~ ~ ~

Sapphire woke in the middle of the night, she listened for a minute. Then, she heard Azmordis's call again. But she thought she heard voices, the sounded like they were coming from the lobby. She sat up and looked around the room, both Jason and Berso were still asleep 'Well if it isn't them,' she thought to herself 'Who is it?' She got up and walked down the small
hall and stood at the wal and peered around the corner. There she saw Azmordis, a man that stood at 6'1", had white hair, and had very fair looks. He wasn't overly old in this body, no more than 25. But she could still tell it was him. She backed away from the wall and Azmordis looked right at her and smiled "There you are my dear, I have been looking everywhere for you. Come, you have much more training, and you belong to me now." Sapphire shook her head and
backed away more "I belong to no one other than myself, which means I no longer belong to you." Azmordis advanced on her "You belong to me, now come!" She turned on her heel and ran back to her room and slamed the door. Jason woke with a start and saw Sapphire with a horrified look on her face "Sapphire, what's wrong?" She was about to answer him when someone started
beating at the door. She could hear Azmordis's voice "Sapphire! Open this door! Open it now!"
She backed away and looked at Jason "It's Azmordis, he's come for me. Please, you can't let him take me again! Please, help me!" Jason got up and stood beside Sapphire, just then the door came down and there stood Azmorids looking at both Jason and Sapphire "Sapphire, I would have figured you would have learned by now, you cannot escape me. Even these men can't save you from me. Now why don't you just save them the trouble of being killed, and just come with me now." Sapphire stood behind Jason "No! You have no control over me, I will not let you take me! Not after what you did to me last time!"

~ ~ ~ ~

Jason and Sapphire just stood staring at Azmorids. Azmorids stared back. "So you, a
pitiful man think you can keep me from claming what is mine??? You must be joking." Jason stared at Azmordis with a look of hate in his eye. "Azmorids, remember when you and Bahamut were fighting and you told me if I helped you defeat the mighty Dragon lord, you would give me anything I desired??" Sapphire was dumbfounded. "WHAT??!!" Azmorids nodded. 'Yes, I remember and you asked for-" Jason cut him off. "I haven't asked for anything until now. I want
Sapphire for my very own. I want control of her mind, soul, and body." Azmorids was shocked. "Why do you have to ask for her? I want her." If looks could kill, Azmordis would have fallen dead. "It's her or I summon Bahamut and tell him the deal you made and then I'll be forced to kill you with one swipe of my father's lance, made from pure dragon scales, teeth, and claws. You want some, come get some." He pulled out the legendery dragon lance which he decribed.
Azmorids was shocked. "Well, I see I have trained you well, Jason. So for NOW you can have the girl, but remember, I'll be wanting her back when your through with her." Jason nodded. "Fine
with me." Sapphire stared at him. "WHAT??!!" Azmorids left with a flash and Sapphire looked at Jason as Berso awakes. "What have you done?? You're going to give me back to him?? You're going to use me??" Sapphire drew her weapon. "No. Relax and put that away before you kill yourself. I have control over you now, but only when I want to. Plus, I'll be done with you,
well, when your dead. You're never going back, unless I die first and he knows better than to attack a dragoon. Sapphire put her weapon away and hugged Jason. "Thank you." Jason smiled.
"You're welcome. Now, let's get some sleep shall we?"

~ ~ ~ ~

Sapphire sat on her bed with a big smile plastered on her face, and it just wouldn't go away. She was so happy that she didn't have to go back to Azmordis for the rest of her life. He had used her for the worst things, and she knew that it would always haunt her, but now she had Jason to help her with it. Sapphire look over to Jason a grinned evily. She climbed onto his bed and started jumping on it just like when she was a little kid. It had always annoyed him, especially when he was asleep.
Jason woke up, grabbed Sapphire around the waist to make her stop jumping, and put her on her own bed "I thought I told you to go to bed?" Sapphire grinned again (this time more
innocently) "No, what you said was 'Now lets get some sleep shall we?' That is way different from 'Sapphire, go to bed.' And I'm too energetic to go to sleep right now." Jason laughed "Well fine, if you can't go to sleep at least give me the chance to." She grinned at him again. "Well you
see, it is so much fun to annoy you and to keep you awake. And you know I am not much of a sleeper." Jason pleaded with her. "Come on Sapphire, let me sleep. We have much traveling
ahead." Sapphire sighed "Fine." She climbed on Jason's bed and hugged him again "Thank you again for getting rid of Azmordis for me, and good night." Jason smiled."Good night Sapphire." And Jason returned to sleep. But Sapphire just couldn't sleep. So she stood up on her own
bed and started jumping on it. The springs of her bed made it impossible for anyone in the room to get any peace and quiet.
So Jason awoke again, and when he saw that Sapphire was jumping on the bed again he swiped his arm under Sapphire's legs and she lost her balence and fell on the bed, and then she started laughing. "For God sake Sapphire! Go to bed! If you don't
I'm going to knock the crap out of you!" Jason yelled. Sapphire shut up and went into her covers. "Thank you." Berso said "Doesn't that child ever go to sleep?" Jason shook his head. "No." Jason answered "Not when she's in that kind of mood." But when Sapphire was sure Jason and
Berso went back to sleep she climbed out of her bed, grabbed a couple sheets of paper, and started to write on a story. When she finally began to get tired, she climbed into her bed and went to sleep.

~ ~ ~ ~

The next morning the 3 of them started on their way. "Do any of you know where were supposed to go now??" Jason asked. "Back to bed." Sapphire yawned. "Jason I have another engagement to attend in this town. there is a child to be blessed by the lord and I must attend." Berso said. "We're sorry to hear you have to leave. Will we meet up again?" Sapphire asked. "Only the lord can tell" Berso said as he wandered off into the town. Jason was looking around feeling sick with all this talk of "the lord and god".
A girl caught his eye. "I'll be back. I just saw someone." He said. "Who?? Tell me who!" Sapphire pleaded as Jason just kept moving away, like he was in a trance. He saw a young girl, about 17 years old. She was wearing a green cloak and held a staff. "May I help you, sir?" She asked. "Well first you could tell me your name, and then why your sneaking around here." he replied. "Well, my name is Dagger." She answered. "And I haven't been sneaking, just following you, kind sir. I have needed to talk to you ever since I overheard you talking with the young lady over there about a certian lord of hell." Jason was amazed. "Really??" Dagger nodded. "Yes."
"what do you need to know??" He asked. "I need to know how to finish my training." He nodded in dismay. "Well you've been folowing the wrong person, but I might be able to help you find someone who can, if you wish." Jason took Dagger's hand and kissed it softly.

~ ~ ~ ~

Sapphire heard Jason and Dagger's conversation, and saw Jason kiss Dagger's hand. She felt her face get hot with envy, then she shook her head. He raised her, they were friends, nothing more. And she knew that. She walked up and stood beside Jason "I know who can help you, but....I only think he teaches women that have the Gift." She said to Dagger. Jason looked at her suspiciously, and Sapphire just returned the gaze. But Dagger spoke up "Who is it that can finish my training?" Sapphire sighed "I do not believe you will want him to help you if that is in his power." She sneered "But tell me his name..." Dagger pleaded. Sapphire sighed again "His....his name is Azmordis. I only believe he can help you is because Azmordis is probably a variant of Asmodeus, and Asmodeus is one of the right-hand demons of Satan. But I do not reccomend that you go to him, I have had very bad experiances with him. And I still have nightmares about it."
Sapphire crossed her arms and shivered. "But that is just my reccomendation. Jason and I can help you if you wish, and if you do not go to Azmordis." She looked at Dagger, this girl looked vaguely familiar. And then, something about the girl made her remember something Azmordis had told her before she escaped from him. She began to back away from both Dagger and Jason. Jason looked at her. "Sapphire, what's wrong?" She backed away even more and shook her head "This girl reminded me of something Azmordis had told me. I don't know what it is about her that made me remember it, it is something I've hidden very well and almost forgotten. I'm.....it's a secret I cannot even release to you Jason. I need....I need to think. Wait for me here, I'll be back." Sapphire ran far away from them and collapsed to the ground. She put her face in her hands and began to cry.

~ ~ ~ ~

"She seems pretty intent on me not meeting this Azmordis." Dagger sighed. "I wonder what it is that he told her..."she trailed off, in her own little world. "I guess she'll tell us when she's ready." Jason added. "I hope so. This secret of hers intrigues me. I wonder if it has anything
to do with my father...I haven't seen him since I was a little girl." Jason looked up. "How little?" he asked, very intent. "The last time I saw my father...I was probably about...yes. About five years old. I miss him dearly. He was the kindest man. Mom used to tell me stories about him after he left. In fact, I remember him waking me up in the middle of the night, telling me he had to leave. I started crying. I wanted to go with him, but he said no, I should go back to sleep. I told
my Mom about it the next morning. She got angry and said I was just dreaming...but it was SO real...."Jason could see tears beginning to run down her cheek. "So, tell me about this Azmordis and the Gift that...what was her name?" Dagger asked, pointing in the direction Sapphire had ran. "Her name is Sapphire" Jason told her. "Sapphire...that sounds familiar..." She began "Sapphire...where have I heard that name?" Dagger sat down on a nearby rock so she could think about it some more.

~ ~ ~ ~

"Ok, if you two know each other, then maybe you had the same teacher. No, impossible. He'd never teach the summon magic. Only 2 that I know that could have taught summon magic. that is Bahamut, or..." he sighed deeply. "...me." Dagger is silent. "What??!!" demanded Sapphire. "Yes. That is what I've been hiding. I raised you because I knew I could teach you that magic. Remember running out at night to see your teacher?? I hired him to tell you the things he did, just as I tought you. it was to hide from you, that I was your teacher. Dagger I knew your mother very well. Your father died that night he left your house. he was killed in the war of
the magi. I'm sorry to have to tell you this. Your mother died not knowing either. I have been searching for you. now that I have, you can complete your training. Sapphire, you have been brought up by myself. I have something else to tell the both of you." He turned to Sapphire. "Sapphire, you never heard about your father right? That was because he died when you were 1. You mother died not too long after right?" Sapphire nodded. "Yeah, so what?" Jason took a deep breath. "Dagger, you and Sapphire are-" Dagger interrupted him. "We are what?" Jason looked from Dagger to Sapphire and finally said, "You two are sisters." Sapphire and Dagger just stared at each other.

~ ~ ~ ~

"WHAT?!" Sapphire screamed. Dagger was stuttering and in a state of shock. "I-I-I can't belive this...my father...he's...dead? And you, you're my....you taught...and she's...my sister?"
Jason nodded silently. So, how did this happen? I never knew I had a sister...but then, that would explain-" Jason interrupted her. "Explain what?" Dagger shook her head. "No, It's quite eerie, you'll probably think I'm crazy." Jason looked at her, puzzled. "No, please, tell me." Dagger thoguht, and finally agreed. "Okay. I always felt like there was something...or someone...was out
there. At night was the only time I would feel it. Like someone was...calling my name..." Jason nodded. "It was probably Azmordis. Sapphire used to be the same way." Sapphire was furious. "Okay, wait a minute! Who was my mother?" Jason chuckled. "Your mother was the Caller Rydia." Sapphire stood, dumbfounded. "THE Rydia? As in the one who traveled with Cecil and your father, Jason?" Dagger nodded. "Yep, that's the one. Jason, who was your father?" She paused. "...Wait. You're a dragoon, aren't you?" She smiled, knowing she was right. "Let me guess, your father was..Kain, right?" Jason nodded in amazement. "Right, how did you know that? Dagger smiled at him. "Let's just say I have my ways of knowing things." She winked at him. "Now then, where are we going?"

~ ~ ~ ~

Sapphire stood there for a moment, dumbfounded. "Well....I don't know where we go next but....wow....I HAVE A SISTER!" Sapphire started jumping up in down in excitement. Then she calmed down "Oops....hehe, sorry about that. I just never thought I had a sister, even though
I felt the same way as you. That there was someone out there. But the calling was more and likely Azmordis. And that was one thing he had told me, that I had a sister. But he always told me that you were dead, that is one reason why I broke down crying." Sapphire paused "And if I know him well enough, he's going to want you also. So don't be surprised if he comes....and soon. But, if he does......I will do what I have to do." Jason and Dagger looked at Sapphire, and Dagger spoke up "And what is it you will have to do?" Sapphire shook her head "When the time comes...you will know." she looked to Jason "The reason he wanted me so much, was because........" Sapphire sighed and shook her head "No, I am not ready yet...not yet. In a couple days, I will be ready to tell you my other secret. But not today. Enough about Azmordis." Sapphire said "Back to Dagger's question, where are we going to go?"

~ ~ ~ ~

"Dagger and Sapphire, I'm sorry I didn't tell you both before this. I didn't want you to hate
me. I really never wanted to tell you." Dagger sighed. "And why not? If you are my teacher, I could never hate you." Sapphire nodded agreement. "You're the closest thing to a father I have ever had. I could never hate my father." Jason turned around and clutched his spear. "Father.......you said this would be easy. You told me I would know when the time was right. You said these were the chosen ones to defeat the demon lords. You never told me that they were sisters, and that I would be rasing them. Sapphire is still young. Dagger is still a child. Father please help me." Dagger turned to face him. "Jason?????" Sapphire was on the other side of him. "Are you ok???" Jason came out of his trance and nodded. "We have to go to Mount Nibel."
Jason took Sapphire over one shoulder and Dagger over the other and started out of town. The trio reached the mountain and Dagger just stared at it. "Jason, did you ever climb this before??"
Jason nodded. "Many times with my father and yours. Your father was a great man. How he is missed." Jason cluthed his father's spear."Can we be going now? We need to be at the top
before dark."

~ ~ ~ ~

Sapphire just looked at the Mountain. She always hated Mt.Nibel, ever since Sephiroth went crazy. She walked up to Jason "Do we have to go up this mountain? You know I hate it......ever since that incident with Sephiroth." Jason took Sapphire by the shoulder "I know you
hate it, but we have to go up. And we need to be at the top before dark. So we are wasting time with all this talk. Now lets go." Sapphire sighed "All right, but I still hate it." She sighed again and the three started up Mt.Nibel.

~ ~ ~ ~

Dagger, Sapphire, and Jason had been climbing for hours, when finally, they had reached the summit of Mount Nibel. It was already sunset, and night was coming rapidly. Sapphire and Jason pitched the tent, while Dagger had gathered some wood for fire. She whispered a few words, and the wood was set ablaze. Everyone gathered around the fire, for it was cold at the summit. "So, Jason, why did you bring us here?" Sapphire asked, casually. "Is this where I am to finish my training?" Dagger was a bit excited. Jason was still and silent. "Jason, are you alright?" Sapphire whispered. There was a small noise, at wich Dagger jumped.
"Did you hear that?" She asked, her voice just above a whisper. Sapphire shook her head. "Hear what?" Dagger was still and silent. "I thought I heard something, like the click of someone's boots." The noise was there again, this time louder. Dagger shuddered. "Sapphire, what was that?" Sapphire had drawn her sword, but was completely still. "I have a really bad feeling about this..." Dagger whispered to no one in particular. She quickly calmed herself and was prepared to call a spell, but against what, she had no idea.

~ ~ ~ ~

Jason was still silent and motionless. He didn't move. His father's spear was still in hand.
Dagger was ready to call Titan. Sapphire ready to jump anything that moved. "Jason..." Dagger whispered, "...is it..." Jason didn't reply. he stayed still, calm and slient. He looked at Dagger and and she stopped talking. Sapphire knew the area well. She knew that many different creatures lived here. She also knew that this is where the first dragon was born. More importantly, this was the birth site of the great Bahamut. The steps came closer and closer. Jason took a tighter grip on the spear and slowly began to stand up. With his free hand he motioned to Dagger and Sapphire to stay put and not move. As the sound moved closer, it sounded more like horses steps. Jason was looking into the brush that they had passed by and took wood from. There before him stood the most beautiful creature he had ever seen. It was a baby chimera. Jason
had never seen one before. Dagger smiled at the tiny creature, as Sapphire just stared at it.
The chimara was calm and just was looking for food. Jason gave it some out of his pack and then it left. The trio went to bed and had a good night sleep.

~ ~ ~ ~

Sapphire sat up, everyone was asleep now....but now she couldn't. She was still nervious about this mountain, and Azmordis was at it again...but this time she could hear him calling Dagger. And she just wouldn't have that. So she got up and walked out of the tent. Then she walked three feet from the tent and made a pentagram in the rock. She made a gesture with
her hand and said a couple words in Atlantian. Then, in the pentagram, was Azmordis.
She glared at Azmordis "Leave my sister alone, you have no use for her." Azmordis laughed "Oh but I do, if I have her, then I have the very thing that will get you back to me." Sapphire backed away a little "I know you want more than me.....you want what's inside me." Azmordis smiled and scanned Sapphire's body "Of course, seeing as how it is my creation. Does Jason know?" Sapphire shook her head "No....no one does. No one except you and myself." Azmordis nodded in delight. "I have a proposition for you Sapphire." Azmordis said. "What is it?" Azmordis grinned. "If I leave your sister, Dagger, alone. I want you to erase this deal I have with Jason and come back to me." Sapphire looked back at the tent "And if I don't agree to this?" Azmordis was grinning from ear to ear, scaring Sapphire. "Then I will take Dagger away and do the same thing to her as I did to you!" Sapphire was horrified. "All right!" She screamed. "Just leave Jason and
Dagger alone, and I will go with you." Azmordis smiled. "Good, in a couple days time I will come for you, be ready when I come." Sapphire sighed at was about ready to get ride of the pentagram when Azmordis started laughing "Well Jason, how nice it is to see you again. And Dagger, let
me introduce myself. I am Azmordis." Sapphire whirled around and saw Jason and Dagger standing outside of the tent. Jason had his arm crossed and had a furious look on his face. Sapphire looked at Jason and tears began to form in her eyes "I'm sorry....I had to do something. And.....maybe it's time I came out with my secret." Jason nodded angrily. "Maybe you should." he said. "I'm.....I'm pregnant with Azmordis's child." Sapphire said, wearily. Azmordis began to laugh and Sapphire just sat on the ground. Suddenly, Azmordis stepped out of the pentagram
and stood beside Sapphire. Sapphire looked up in amazment "I thought no one could step outside the pentagram!" Azmordis looked down at her "I can do many things you do not know of. Now come, it's time for you to come with me."

~ ~ ~ ~

"No!" Dagger screamed at him. "You won't take my sister!" Sapphire frowned. "Dagger, it's alright, I-" Dagger yelled at her. "No. No, nothing's alright. You have come too far to just let him take you! I won't let you go!" Sapphire was getting amgry with her. "Dagger, it's my decision. Don't try and talk me out of it." But Sapphire was too late. Dagger was already summoning Bahamut, her strongest spell. "Dagger! Don't do this!" Azmordis nodded. "Foolish girl, I suggest you listen to your sister and stop that chanting at once, or I'll have to dispose of you." Dagger glared at him, but continued on with her spell. Azmordis, in a fit of rage, struck out and Dagger was hurled at the ground. "NO!" Jason screamed. He rushed over to Dagger's side, checking
for signs of life. "Jason, Jason, Jason...you really are that naieve, aren't you?" Jason walked slowly over to the demon. "Azmordis, you son of a bi-"
Dagger was up. "Jason, save it." Jason stared at her, puzzled. "What the...?" Dagger smiled evilly at Azmordis. "Now then, where was I? Oh, yes. Prepare to die, Azmordis!" Dagger had the same dance of mako in her eyes as her sister had had before. Azmordis glared at the small girl. "You amuse me, child, with your threats. Now, why don't you join your sister, and finish your training?" Dagger shook her head. "No, Azmordis. I just realized two things. The first is walls come in handy, even when you're unsure, and the other is I don't need you, because I believe I have just the spell for you. But Sapphire, I'm going to need your help." Azmordis laughed maniacally. "You think you're going to kill me, don't you? Don't make me laugh. Besides, your sister is mine now!
Sapphire was ready to listen to whatever her sister had to say. "You'll never laugh again, by the time we're through with you." She snapped. The sisters began their spell. Jason stood back, giving Dagger and Sapphire enough room for the casting. A brilliant white light was seen, and Azmordis had vanished. Jason stood there, more dumbfounded and wide-eyed than the sisters had ever seen him before. Dagger yawned. "Now, then, let's get some sleep and we'll talk some more about this in the morning." Sapphire nodded agreement. "Yeah. I'm bushed." She waved her hand in front of Jason's face. "Um, Jason? You alright?" It took him a minute to snap out of it. "Huh? oh, yeah, yeah, I'm fine." The trio went back inside and slept the best they could, after what had happened that night.

~ ~ ~ ~

Berso had finished his buisness in town and followed them to the summit. Sapphire woke up to see him staring at her. She was up in a flash. "Oh, I'm so happy to see you!!! Hey Jason, wake up! Berso's back!" Jumping up, Jason yelled. "Hey whats up?! A lot has happened since you left. Sapphire nodded, then called for Dagger. "Hey Sis, wake up! There is someone here for you to meet!" Berso smiled at her. "Sis? Did I miss something?" Jason chuckled. "Not something, TONS of stuff." Jason and Sapphire explained all of it and introduced Dagger to Berso. "That reminds me, I have a surprise for all of you. That boy's parents are rich and
they gave me something. follow me." They followed Berso to the edge of the summit. Peering over the edge, they see a huge airship. "Its name is Black Raven.

~ ~ ~ ~

Sapphire looked pver the edge and gazed at the ship "It's beautiful! ......but I'm going to get really airsick." Then she laughed "Hmm....Ha ha ha!" Then, Sapphire made herself more serious "But I need to know what you three think......about me being pregnant with Azmordis's child. I need to know what I should do. Be rid of the child...or keep it and raise it like Jason raised me." Sapphire then looked over the edge to the airship and started laughing again, then she calmed herself "Oh yeah....I would also like to thank you Dagger....from saving me from Azmordis. I shudder to think what he would do to me again if I did go to him." Then she hugs Sapphire "Thanx sis!" She looked at the airship again and laughed even harder. Jason gave her this weird look "What is so funny Sapphire?" She looked at him smiling "I'm just thinking of
how many times I'm gonna throw up on this thing....it'll be stained for life!" She laughed some more and fell on the ground laughing.

~ ~ ~ ~

Jason, It's the hormones with the whole being pregnant thing." Dagger said. "She's gonna giggle alot and cry alot, so ya best get used to it now." She smiled. "And Sapphire, you're welcome for saving you from Azmordis. But I couldn't have done it without your help. Now back to the original question...What do we think my sister should do about the baby?" Everything was silent except for Sapphire giggling. "I hope that's not contagious." laughed Jason. "Hey, sis, what are you going to tell the baby about his..or her dad?" Sapphire finally shut up long enough to think. Berso silently thanked God for the silence.

~ ~ ~ ~

Jason looked at Berso. "Well man, you're the link to your so called God. You answer the
question. Is there a way to dedemonize the child???" Berso stood still with fright. "There's nothing I can do. I'm sorry." Jason glared at him. "Then what are you good for??" He was angered now. He had the spear in hand. Dagger looked at him warily. "Now Jason don't do anything rash." Jason gritted his teeth. "Oh trust me, I won't." Berso feared for his life. "Now calm down. You wouldn't kill a man of God, would you??" Sapphire nodded at Berso. "Berso, he has killed many people who have failed him before. don't put it past him." Berso took 3 steps back. "Jason now calm down. I'm sure he'll know somebody who can help." Dagger pleaded. "He had better or he gets my father's spear in his head, and I won't miss this time." Sapphire looked puzzled. "This time?" Berso nodded gravely. "He had tossed that spear at me before to scare
me and it took my hat off. I nearly died there." Sapphire nodded, just as grave as Berso. "I see."
Jason raised spear and tossed it. Dagger screamed. "NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!" The spear took off Berso's hat again and then struck the Chimera in the chest and it feel dead. Jason looked at the girl. "Why were you screaming 'No' Dagger??"

"Jason, I...I can't tell you. Not now." Dagger was trembling with fear because of the previous attack on Berso. "Try me." he said. Dagger backed away. "No. No, I can't tell you. Not when you're like this." Sapphire was dumbfounded. "But Dagger, I thought-" Dagger shook her head. "No, Sapphire. It's nothing like that." Jason glared at the sisters. "Would you two mind telling me what the hell is going on?" Dagger bowed her head. "I'm sorry, Jason..." Berso shook his head, but quickly went back to a neutral expression, in case Jason had seen him.

Jason looked at the terrified girl. His expression softened a bit. "Dagger nothing is that bad. Didn't anyone ever tell you, never piss of a dragoon on a really bad day??" Dagger nodded solemly. "Y-y-y-yes." Jason glared at her. "Follow my advice and tell me." Sapphire glared at Jason, she had a dance of mako in her eyes. He could tell she was pissed. "Jason what has gotten into you?" Jason glared right back at her. "Oh you mean other then your pregnant with a
demon Lord's child and there is NOTHING we can do?" Sapphire bowed her head. "I said I'm sorry." Jason nodded angrily. Sorry isn't going to fix it, now is it?" Everyone was looking at Jason by this time. "Berso what are you looking at?" Berso turned his back and said nothing. "How do you think I feel??? That's my sister!" Jason was really pissed now. "I don't care how you feel. I risked my life countless times for her so she wouldn't have to go to him, and now she tells me she's pregnant with his bloody kid." Jason left to his room on the ship and slamed his door. he
posted a note that read: "If anyone knocks, they get a spear in the head."
