Faerie Tales

I don’t believe in faerie tales,

And I do not believe in fate

I can’t believe in anything

But anger, fear, and hate

Your white horse couldn’t save me,

And you sure aren’t my King,

But when I was young and stupid

I thought you could do anything

So now I’m Humpty Dumpty,

And I fell off that wall

If you really were my Charming Prince,

Why didn’t you stop my fall?

I’m not a damsel in distress,

I’ll learn to take care of me

A wizard cannot lock me up

Because my spirit is always free

I don’t believe in faerie tales,

I don’t believe in fate

But now that I control my destiny

I’m not bound by the chains of hate
