City Poems: Edinburgh

Only---as Burns explained, we only belong to One Place, truly
never-mind "Our World", it was Meant to be divisive.
causing each Separate Corner, as they are,
each of us only come Home Once.

Every night as the Lonely artists
dream in antiquated-glorious Stone a ghost-haunted Graveyard
in each respect: from dazzled Palaces
no one can be All: our own Spaces.
Before the Place,
unknown to all but those who Weep
remembering set Star Patterns
Going
Home
