A Sense of Regret About Summer

(Heeded:) If I am to
start off a poem well enough:
then I shall
end it before it is
conceived. Not
here.

If so, there is
Tragedy in even the most
Benign instances of
Childbirth. Outside is the
Evidence of heat I am
As flighty as the
Center of a telephone
Wire today, run with only
Brief importance.

In the
Abrupt spring the
Trees are already turned to
Faded, impressing the
Heat tho' it
Suggests
Other wise

(Heeded:) it is
much too soon for any
Expectation

If only he will not regret: one birth shall be
Reaffirmed

Importance.
We are not Spanish here but
It is still him
In the abstract of the Desert
About the army of ragged
Maples, which is

Not

Heeded
