Sunset
It’s full of vibrant color,
Under it’s light the world looks pink.
It robs me of my troubles,
And yet it makes me think.
I think of the world around me,
Of love, hope, and despair.
As I sit on a hilltop watching it,
A breeze ruffles my hair.
Of all the things I think of,
Love comes up more than the rest.
I think of my true love,
And my heart pounds in my chest.
I have not found my love yet,
But I know where he might be.
Sitting on another hilltop,
Watching the sunset with me.
It’s full of vibrant color,
Under it’s light the world looks pink.
It robs me of my troubles,
And yet it makes me think.
I think of the world around me,
Of love, hope, and despair.
As I sit on a hilltop watching it,
A breeze ruffles my hair.
Of all the things I think of,
Love comes up more than the rest.
I think of my true love,
And my heart pounds in my chest.
I have not found my love yet,
But I know where he might be.
Sitting on another hilltop,
Watching the sunset with me.
