I only wish to feel the night

The darkness of the sky

To ride on weighted silver winds

And touch the passer-by

I only wish to hear the sounds

Of footsteps' echoed clap

And humming fan and cricket strings

Harmonious overlap

I only wish to see the stars

Their placid silver glow

That brightens every darkened path

And rids the world of woe

And for a moment lose the weight

Of all unfounded plight.

Just fly along on dreamer's wings

To understand the night.
