As always, the dream ended at the good part.
Charisma groaned and slowly adjusted back into
the 'real' world. She yawned and stretched,
making funny little noises as she did so. "Thank
God for holidays..." she grumbled swinging her
legs to the side of the bed.
The digital numbers blinked at her as the local
adio station blared out of the speakers. "So
loud... so unnecessary..." she mumbled through
a long yawn.
It was ten o'clock, Sunday morning. Charisma,
although on a break from her scheduale at school,
still needed to work. Her shift began at 3 and
wouldn't end until close to 11 - if she was lucky.
But before that, she had a few errands to run and a
quick stop at her parents house to say good morning.
Jumping into the shower, she made a quick mental list
of all she had to do. Drying off, she shortened the
list and made more time to spend with her parents.
Living on her own was fun, but the sunday greeting was
a ritual. She'd only moved out onto her own 6 months
ago, but homesick she remained. It didn't help that
she'd also lost a friend and a boyfriend within the
same month. Two people she had deeply cared for.
Finishing up her makeup and throwing her hair into a
careless ponytail, she grabbed her keys and headed off.
