I believe in fighting for what you believe in. Fighting for your
rights, your hopes, your dreams, even fighting to make the world a less
miserable place.
Millions of men have fought physical battles for this country, for their ideals. Now we laugh with scorn at their efforts. Look where it has got us now.
Our country has so many problems, so very many. People have many problems, creating more pain for themselves and others.
Today, yesterdays struggles are forgotten, they lie buried in textbooks, a place which few dare to look. But if we do find the courage to look, we can see that perhaps if not for these people, who dared to fight, we would not be here today.
Perhaps I am naïve, but having suffered my own pains and hardships, why on earth would I wish them on anybody else? Even those who have inflicted pain upon me, shall not suffer advertantly by my hand, for have I not ever committed the same crime? It would be hypocrisy, to blame someone for hurting me, when I only sit back and continue the cycle.
Society can not improve, unless we improve, for what is society really than millions of little people, each affecting the rest. I plan on making my effect a positive one.
That is my fight. Now I am not perfect, nor do I claim to be, but perhaps I can make the world a better place, even by just a little. If I die, knowing that I was responsible for one little grain of good, I know that there is hope for the world.
Critics say I am young and idealistic, and they are right. But if what I say inspires just one person to do better for themselves and others, I know that my work is not in vain.
Each person is born with the opportunity to make the world a better place. If you are reading this, you can make the world a better place, some small action of yours, may save another from suffering.
Everyone is given one opportunity to make a difference, don't throw yours away. When a person dies, so does this person's chance at easing the suffering of another. If you do not help, another person might die. Do not waste your chance, suicide robs the world of so many people. Perhaps by living your life, you may save another, don't waste your chance. Don't kill yourself.
