Life
All through the night, Neither black nor white, My soul continues to fight, The Battle it has not won; The Battle it can never win. Yet, It seems a sin to keep trying, To help a soul that will keep on dying. But, yet something inside me keeps urging, I can feel the energy surging, This power is so great, I can hardly anticipate. Still I must wait, Still I must grow, I must learn to have control. Souls dying, still crying, You get shot in the head, You are dead. The flesh that is, The flesh will die. And the soul will cry. Because the flesh has no feeling, It's like a floor, an empty ceiling, But the soul will feel, Your emotions soon appeal, You say I'm your worst enemy, But when I'm gone, you envy me. For I am in a place, Where I don't have to run the race, Because the race was won for me.
