CINNAMON LOVERS.

::Shonen ai/yaoi warning:: Fuide Kazuki's a typical, trouble-making high school student. Kaname Noeru's a good-looking model, but with a two-faced attitude. What sent their paths to cross each other one day?

Chapter 2: Cinnamon Sugar.

The sun was in its drastic condition yet, the strong morning ray shone upon every single living being exposed; one hot morning to begin the day. A certain violet-eyed teenager cursed inwardly for the brilliant weather wasn't helping him a single bit as he struggled his way down the hard sidewalk in a rush. Fortunately for him, there was a soft gentle morning breeze to equalize the heat, which was beating down on him like a thousand tiny fists.

"Sakura is so going to kill me!", Fuide Kazuki scolded himself; not too loud, not too soft either, as he glanced at his wristwatch located on his right hand, his troubled violet eyes scanned the digital numbers in confirmation. He ran his free hand through his own hair, pushing his black bangs, which brushed with pure dark lavender shades under the morning sun. Kazuki was wearing a sleeveless light blue NIKE shirt with the particular number initials engraved onto the soft tender fabric as well as a pair of baggy Bermuda shorts to match.

"Correction; us.", a familiar young voice reverted his attention back on the path where a certain aqua-eyed teenager interrupted him from the corner of his eye. After accidentally skimmed past the familiar figure with wide panicked eyes, Kazuki halted to a stop and whirled around to face his classmate with light pants.

"Surprise surprise, I had no idea that a hardworking person such as yourself would wake up at this late hour.", grinning with amusement, the violet-eyed teenager childishly held up his wrist watch a few inches away from Daikiru Hiro's adorable face. The smaller teenager didn't bother the fact that Kazuki was indeed taller than him by a few centimeters himself.

"I didn't. I had to send my little sister to her kindergarten an hour ago, Fuide-san.", confident aqua eyes gazed back at the person before him as his lips curled a little into a smile. A small irritated vein popped out from behind the violet-eyed teenager's head as he swung both of his slender arms behind his head as he deliberately pouted slightly at the reply he'd just received from Hiro.

"Excuses excuses...", Kazuki grumbled with narrowed violet eyes.

"Rather than wasting your time provoking me, why don't you scan your brain [A/N : Or rather what's left of it...] figuring out how to get to the Pentagon Studio?", Hiro suggested as he pointed an index finger into the air. His aqua eyes witnessed Kazuki shrug a little in response before the violet-eyed teenager in front of him suddenly yelled out a loud 'HA!', much to Hiro's shock, which also made him jump a little with an almost fearful expression on his cute face. A shameful blush of embarrassment crept across his timid face as he witnessed a few people passing by glance at the both of them with impossible expressions written all over their disbelieved faces.

"Piece of cake! We run there!", the stubborn violet-eyed teenager beamed up with enthusiast upon his so-called-genius plan. A pair of unbelievable aqua eyes stared at Kazuki in response. Hiro knew better than to expect such an answer from him. Typical Kazuki had never even bothered to think twice before crossing a busy road anyway.

"...You're kidding...Right?", Hiro confided, a little too nervous.

"Does it look like it?", there was a sly glint in his classmate's playful violet eyes which indicates that he wasn't, without a doubt. The aqua-eyed teenager sighed inwardly upon the comment before he gave the slightly taller boy one of his serious looks and spoke in a manner-of-factly tone.

"Fuide-san, the Pentagon Studio is apparently not less than a handful of kilometers from where we're standing at the moment. By the time we get there by foot, we'd--"

"Oh! Lookie! The cinnamon shop is open!", Kazuki's voice interrupted his classmate's speech in a harmless protest. Hiro noticed the boy's anxious beaming violet eyes staring after a certain shop nearby, which seemed to be Kazuki's one and only place of worship; Gakuro's Cinnamon Heaven.

"Fuide-san...We don't have time for snacks...", the smaller boy's light groan trailed off towards the end and before Hiro had knew it, a strong gust of wind blew across his face, which indicates that Kazuki had just whizzed past by in a flash, leaving Hiro facing no one or even nothing in particular.

"Fuide-san...", a pair of silent aqua eyes stared past the violet-eyed teenager, including a small sweatdrop to match for a moment before he glanced at his own wrist watch in order to catch up with the reality time. Shrugging to himself upon the situation he was in, Hiro decided to tag along with Kazuki's actions before taking the perfect opportunity to drag him to their exact destination later on.

"I'll have the usual, Tats!", the violet-eyed teenager cheerfully beamed in excitement the minute he entered the particular snack stand, calling the shopkeeper by his nickname Kazuki gave him. His violet eyes lit up the moment he caught sight of a certain raven-haired man who had a head bandana covering a slight part of his neatly combed hair, a cigarette hung in between his lips.

Gakuro Tatsumi was a man in his early thirties; married and lived with his beloved wife and two young children, a boy and a girl. He opened a cinnamon snack shop by the initials 'Gakuro's Cinnamon Heaven' and Kazuki was his very first customer who fell in love with Tatsumi's taste in creating various flavours of cinnamon rolls, candies and many more. Tatsumi looked quite suitable for his age; with dark brown eyes and jet-black hair as well as his trademark, the bandanna he wore on his head.

"Oh? Kazuki-chyan? You're pretty early today. You by yourself?", Tatsumi grinned with a slight enthusiast after he looked up to see his number one customer bounced his way towards one of the empty stools in an adorable puppy-dog form.

"Sakura dragged me out of bed. That girl can't resist a good-looking model over a school holiday. Oh, Hiro's here too.", Kazuki replied as he pointed a thumb towards the main door of the shop which he'd just entered a moment ago. Not long after that, Hiro stepped in as well, much to Kazuki's prediction.

"Good morning, Gakuro-san.", the aqua-eyed teenager greeted with a polite bow, letting a few strands of his greenish coloured hair fall across his face.

"That's Sakura-chyan alright. Hello, Hiro-chyan. Oh, I've just opened a free taste stand in the corner there, Kazuki-chyan. I'm sure you'll be more than willing to taste some of my new cinnamon rolls, eh?", the raven-haired man continued as he deliberately pointed towards the back of the counter, which leaded to the particular free stand mentioned earlier.

"No joking!", Kazuki's violet eyes widened in excitement and within a second, he was out of the picture. Hiro approached the counter where Tatsumi was and settled himself on one of the empty stools before placing his sling bag on another empty stool beside him.

"It's amazing on how Fuide-san craves for cinnamon, nee?", delicate aqua eyes peered up at the man before him who continued to clean a few dirty plates from his position. He witnessed him deliberately wiping sweat off his forehead, a little exhausted from work.

"Well, he's not the only cinnamon-crazy-customer I've got.", Tatsumi declared as he rearranged a few clean plates neatly in place. Hiro was a little surprised to hear that remark.

"Oh? There is someone else in the world as crazy as Fuide-san?", the innocent sixteen-year-old asked with curious questioning eyes. The man in his early thirties blinked for a moment before Hiro as he asked the particular question, yet he nodded in agreement as his dark brown orbs glanced towards the back stand where it was hidden from their view separated by a corner.

"If you're talking about him going cuckoo over cinnamon just as Kazuki-chyan is, I wouldn't say that. The way he expresses it is totally vice versa, if you get what I mean, Hiro-chyan. And speaking of the man, he's at the free taste stand right now. I'm sure Kazuki-chyan would run into him in at any moment."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Whoa! Damn, does Tats have good taste or what?!", a pair of gleaming violet eyes beamed in excitement as Kazuki scanned them thoroughly upon the few stacks of new cinnamon rolls and buns with all sorts of flavours to go with in awe. He swore if it weren't for the fact that he was still alive, he'd be in heaven by now, drooling on the outstanding sight right before him [A/N : Really, Kazuki-chyan...It's just cinnamon...]. The particular area surrounding Kazuki seemed fairly quiet, much to Kazuki's relief, but not like he'd bother about it anyway.
"Guess I'll go for the strawberry cinnamon first...It looks sweet...", the violet-eyed teenager mumbled to himself as he made an attempt to reach out towards a strawberry coated cinnamon roll with a satisfied smile playing upon his lips. Silently, he praised himself for being a regular customer to Tatsumi.
"Aa? Excuse me, boy...", an unfamiliar voice startled Kazuki from the back and without further hesitation, he whirled around a little too clumsily and nearly bumped into the person who'd just greeted him in a polite manner. He accidentally smudged some strawberry on his index finger, but he'd manage to cover up his mistake by hiding his hands behind his back.
"Wah! S--Sorry! I didn't notice...You...", Kazuki's nervous voice trailed off as he blinked up innocently at the person standing right before him. The man had a pair of dark ray sunglasses, which barely revealed his astonishing bright blue eyes and judging by the clothes he wore, he'd probably had quite high taste in dressing, yet not too over-dressed to be on the safe side. A few strands of his beautiful blond hair reflected the morning sun's proud ray of shine, which somehow overall, intrigues Kazuki within just a quick glance.
"So it seems. You must be Fuide Kazuki-san, are you not?", the man's question snapped Kazuki out of his daze as he gracefully took off his sunglasses and slid them into his upper left shirt pocket. The violet-eyed teenager seemed a little surprised on the outcome.
"Huh? How'd you--"
"The shopkeeper, Gakuro-san told me quite a lot about you. It seems that he hasn't mistaken you being an ultimate fan of cinnamon snacks.", Kazuki witnessed him smile and for no proper reason, he felt the heat rising up to his cheeks and mentally cursed himself for behaving like that in front of a total stranger.
"You...Like cinnamon too?", innocent-like violet eyes peered up at the man.
"Indeed I do. Oh, you've got some strawberry stains on your finger, Kazuki-san.", before Kazuki could even respond to that remark, the blonde had already gently took Kazuki's hand and proceeded to place the younger boy's strawberry-stained finger into his mouth, licking it clean again ever so innocently.
"Aa...?", Kazuki's face flushed as bright as a red ripe tomato, wide violet eyes stared at nothing in particular as the man slowly pulled back with a satisfied smile upon his charming face.
"The best taste I've had in years. I guess I'll choose strawberry cinnamon rolls as for now.", he prodded innocently as bright blue eyes gazed in a thinking manner. He titled his head at the Kazuki's adorable reaction, still remaining in his position with a dark shade of scarlet decorating his face, stunned on the outcome.
"It's nice meeting you, FuFu-chyan.", the man continued as he stepped out of the back room to the main area where Tatsumi and Hiro were having a light chat, an amused expression on his face as he proceeded towards the exit.
"W--What did you call me?!", Kazuki finally snapped out of his comatose condition due to the nickname the man just called him, similar to what Shinji always did call him. Both Tatsumi and Hiro nearly jumped as the violet-eyed teenager burst into the area with large veins popping out in anger, clenching a fist in the air.
"You're cute when you get mad. See ya!", placing his sunglasses back on, the man cheerfully remarked as he left the particular store, waving behind. Kazuki felt as if he was taken aback.
"Why you--"
"Come back here and face me like a man!", he shouted in rage, but unfortunately the blonde was far away from the ear-splitting yell by now. Hiro clamped his hands over his own ears just in the neck of time before wincing a little upon the outcome.
"I see you've met my regular customer besides yourself, Kazuki-chyan.", Tatsumi declared as he propped an arm on the counter, resting his chin on his supporting hand. A nervous grin plastered upon his face as he witnessed Kazuki staring back at him in disbelief.
"No joking! He sexually harassed me!", Kazuki wailed furiously as his face turned bright red again, waving his hands hard in protest. He recalled the incident earlier and disgustedly wiped his hand using the edges of his own shirt.
"On the other hand, Haido-san flirts with you more often than the three meals you eat a day...", Hiro commented as he cocked an eyebrow lazily on the violet-eyed teenager's reaction. The aqua-eyed teenager had heard, thus witnessed much more from his classmate in school, so his 'new incident' couldn't make him bother a single bit.
"But--But, he--"
"Calm down, Kazuki-chyan. You've just got to get used to Noeru-chyan's unpredictable personality.", the raven-haired man interrupted him with a reassuring smile.
"Noeru...?", Kazuki's rather childish violet eyes blinked twice.
"Kaname Noeru-san. He's been a regular customer at Gakuro's since the past few days ago. Although he often visits here during early in the morning or late at night.", Hiro helped Tatsumi continue his speech in a matter-of-factly tone, explaining a little on the particular person they mentioned to Kazuki. The violet-eyed teenager actually listened with a hint of interest before speaking on his behalf.
"Eh? No wonder I've never noticed him. I only hang around here during the evenings when school's over.", he spoke out in a thinking manner.
"Exactly, Kazuki-chyan. Noeru-chyan seems like a nice young man and he smiles all the time, but one thing's for sure...He doesn't talk much about himself.", Tatsumi said as he recalled the first time Noeru stepped into his shop and the times where they talked, yet the blonde rarely reveals anything about himself to begin with.
"I know! He's an escaped criminal!", the violet-eyed teenager replied as he raised a hand in the air, emitting silence around the area with two figures staring at his reaction narrowed-eyed.
"I think you've had too much cinnamon for today, Fuide-san. I'd reckon that we'd better hitch a cab ride to the Pentagon Studio as soon as possible before Mirai-san gets a fit.", the aqua-eyed teenager sternly replied as he grabbed his bag along with Kazuki's ear, dragging him towards the exit before the violet-eyed teenager could actually hold in protest.
"No! You misunderstood me! Wah, Hiro! That's my ear you're pulling!", Kazuki whined incredulously as they disappeared out of the shop to hitch a cab ride, leaving Tatsumi waving goodbye to them from his position with an amused smile.
"Well well, what a lively morning."
