THE TASTE OF TEARS
A shimmering crystal,
Clear as glass.
A wave of emotions,
Come from one drop.
One can glide down a face -
Of a new mother.
As the helpless bundle in her arms,
Start to weep.
Tears of life.
Crystal gems fall,
From many faces,
When those once lost -
Are reunited.
They trickle down a cheek
Of one child.
Who is alone everyday.
And the only ones that come near him
Come to beat him.
They can come in streams,
Of a bawling child
And drop on the knee -
Which is so raw,
Bringing only slight comfort,
Until his parents arrive.
One drop can mean love.
Something in your eye can mean sadness.
A sparkle shows signs of happiness.
A cascade can mean a loss.
