Beyond Thy Yonder Window, Thy Love Shall Shine...

By: S o R a - c H a N

...Act One...

...Scene one...

Whilst in the early dawn's mist, a young maiden appeared. Her hair so rich of chestnut, and so radiant each strand shall shine. Small and slender was she, and of kind and gentle heart... Thou lips so soft and crimson...eyes so green that shine like stars... Softly she tread the flowered fields of Benthanar...

Her steps were gentle and her grace was evident whilst her naked soft foot walked the tall, rough grass... Thy young maiden's breeches over the years had shrunken, all was 'twas left were pants above the knee, with rips and snares...

So alone was she...beauty shined so bright upon thy face, yet a sense of sadness bore in her eyes... For all her 14 years of life, a friend she had not...and no family claimed her... Back upon the castle she looked...here, in this town of Bethanar, had lived thy young maiden...and nothing shall be found there upon her needs...

The sun hid behind the yonder clouds of gray... A sign of grief and dismay... A chill of harsh breeze rushed by, rustling the young maiden's face...Old and brown was her cloak...It blew about in the wind...

Then, the wind clamed and dispersed... The world went silent... Young maiden felt uneasy... a rumble alongst thy ground was felt...A fear bolted upon her heart, as though lightning had struck the fair maiden...

"Raylene!" upon the call, thy had heard thy name...

Gracefully her body turned, though in utter panic...in the fog, there ran'st a figure...

"Raylene!! Can't for art thou hear thee!?" the voice had called once more, before 'twas lost in the vastness of the field... little by little, the voice was gone...

A sudden darkness covered the sky, and in an instant...'twas all dark... No longer did the grass show, nor the town of Bethanar far behind the young maiden...

Perspiration of cold trickled down thy young maiden's neck...her heart heaved, and quickened... Fear...Fear is what thy has felt...

A wind of chill blew and ice started to fall. 'Twas not the soft and gentle snow of a white winter, but of evil and darkness... The shards of ice, like glass, fell so beautifully, yet cut sharply as it softly touched thee... It began to pour from all directions, and thy soil turned crimson red... Blood ran upon thy ground...

"Raylene!!!" miraculously, the cry was still heard...

"Who thou calleth thy name!?" Raylene's soft voice could no longer be heard as thy voice spoke...

She shrieked as the gust intensified, as so making the pieces of ice, small knives, fragile yet utterly dangerous. Then, heat struck the world in dismay... thy young Raylene covered herself as her clothes stained with red blood, has begun to catch fire...

And there in the night, thy young maiden screamed... In agony...in pain was she... Blood ran down all over her body, and she felt it boil upon her skin..

Her body plummeted to thy burning field, and the tongues of flamed licked upon her snowy white skin...Weakly her eyes opened...in distant sky, the clouds above parted, and thy wide eyes saw the stars... And again, the heat grew... Slowly at first, then quickening its pace, the stars fell from the heavens! The sparkling specks flew about, hitting the young Raylene... more and more she cried out in pain, though, no one was'th there to hear her cries...

Slowly, her eyes shifted towards the town of Bethanar...and now, the sound of screams and horrid cries from the town pierced the night... She closed her eyes, as she smelt the odor of burning flesh...

But, then, in the raining stars, thou saweth the figure...So beautiful the stars seemed to be, and how heroic the figure looked as thou ran upon the fiery field... As if a picture or a scene from a play was shown...

"RAYLENE!!!" and there thoust last cry before engulfed by flames was that figure.

...but indeed was all this real and not a mere play...but oh so dangerous...

"who...calleth...thy...n-name...?" Raylene quietly cried to herself...

To weak to get up, a tear shed from thy young maiden's eyes...yet no longer fear plagued her... Then, she there felt a breeze...cool and clam...her eyes shut, darkening her world...the earth was suddenly at peace... The sun showed thy face...and the sky's azure returned...
