AIRPLANE

Make me an airplane

Of paper and glue.

I'll fly away

And start everything new.

Begin a new life,

Untouched, still good.

If only it was that simple.

If only I could.

But I'm trapped inside

Of these four walls,

With a window

Looking down the hall.

I see myself

In another place,

No longer having

A shadowed face.

I hold in my heart

An untainted love

That sends me soaring

To the sky above.

I fly, I fly

In my airplane so high.

I fly, I fly

I touch the sky.

Take me out of darkness

Bring me to a new home.

Fly over the waves

Gently capped with foam.

Make me an airplane

Of paper and glue.

I'll fly away from here.

I'll fly to you.
