Really? I just read those. Not too bad. You're blunt but not tearing them apart.

I think one thing I need to make clear though, is that when I use the "show dont tell", I don't mention that telling is good, but they are overusing it... Every story has to have SOME telling or its horrible. When I point it out though, its because the telling is too much.

I think one thing I need to make clear though, is that when I use the "show dont tell", I don't mention that telling is good, but they are overusing it... Every story has to have SOME telling or its horrible. When I point it out though, its because the telling is too much.

I don't type up a paragraph on 'show, not telling' or vice versa; I find the parts that are blatant, bad telling, and give a showing example/etc. So yeah, same.

Yeah, that's what too much showing is. Yes, like showing someone fears going on airplanes (and it's not necessary to the plot) when it could be summed up in a few lines.
