Nat relaxed visibly once the nurses were gone and she sighed. "I hope it doesn't take as long as they said it would."

"They're doing their job as best as they can. We'll be out of here as soon as they've finished."

((Scotland and Black Knight???))

((if I have to... after dinner))

Nat nodded, sighing.

((can we skip up with them??))

((Yeah...we can skip to after they're done with the tests.))

The doctor walked in a while later.

((And you can continue with whatever the prognosis is))

Nat looked up as the doctor came into the room.

"It looks as though you're perfectly healthy, Miss Livingston," the doctor told her with a smile. "You may leave now, just be careful with that cut on your head."

Nat smiled. "Thank you, doctor."

"No need to thank me, miss."

Nat stood up and tugged Will towards the door.

Will followed Natalie out of the room. "That was good news."

Nat smiled and nodded. "Yes it was. Now I would really like to go home."

"Okay," Will said as he led her outside and to their car. He opened the door for her.

Nat kissed his cheek and sat down in the passenger seat.

Will smiled and closed the door before starting the engine and jumping in the driver's side. "Let's go home."

Nat nodded. "Let's."

Alice opened her eyes as they pulled into the parking lot of the hospital. It was strange to think that she had just been there the day before working and now she was coming in needing her co-workers to help her. "You can park anywhere. They won't mind."

He pulled into a stop and opened Alice's door to help her out of the car.

Alice gave him the smallest of smiles as she got out of the car. "Thank you."

((You know, maybe Alice and Clyde could go to the local donut shop later. That would actually be quite amusing.))

Clyde helped her into the hospital. A doctor rushed to them.

((Do you want to do the doctor's part? And it would be quite amusing. So is it a date?))

Phoebe Powers

((Yeah, I think it's a date.))

Alice looked up at the doctor. "Robert, I didn't realize you were working today," she said.

"Alice, isn't it supposed to be your day off?"

"I'm not here for work. I was meeting a friend and...it isn't important. I need your help. I have at least two gun shot wounds, maybe more."

Robert nodded and reached out to take Alice away from the police officer. "Thank you for your assistance," he said to the officer. "We can take over from here."

J.A. Fletcher

"Are you sure?" He looked wistfully at Alice.

"You can stay in the waiting room if you would like," Robert said.

Alice looked over at him. "This should only take an hour or so. If you can, I would like it if you stayed."

Clyde grinned. "I think I can do that."

Robert nodded and then led Alice down the hall.

Two hours later Alice slowly made her way to the waiting room, assisted by Annie, a fellow nurse. They had tried to get her to stay at the hospital but she had assured them that she knew how to care for herself at home. Then she had been told that they were taking her off the schedule for at least a week so that she could recover.

"How are you feeling?" Clyde asked.

"A little better than I was earlier, though I still can't stop thinking about what happened." Alice paused and looked over at the nurse. "Thank you, Annie. I will be fine now."

Annie looked at her for a moment and then nodded, before turning and walking away.

"Would you like me to drive you home?" Clyde asked.

"Would you? That would be quite helpful."

2/10/2010 #55
J.A. Fletcher

"Sure." He held the door for her to exit.

She gave a small smile as she walked out the door. "Thank you."

Clyde opened her car door.

((Wow. You sure got over Joe's death quickly.))

2/10/2010 #58
Phoebe Powers

((Not really. It's more of a grateful smile. She's not likely to forget Joe's death for a while.))

Alice slid into the car and held in a grimace. She hadn't realized just how much it hurt to get shot. She looked down at her clothes, it just know striking her that they were now ruined from all the blood.

2/10/2010 #59
J.A. Fletcher

((Oh, good. Because I think Joe's looking down from up in Heaven tapping his foot with his hands on his waist.))

"Does it hurt bad?" Clyde asked, noting her wince.
