Does Jane Austen mean more to you than just an author? Does the mention of "Pride and Predjudice", "Persuasion" or "Sense and Sensibility" make you think of beautiful dresses and handsome men? Here, you can RP your own regency characters. Have fun!

The year is 1814, in the summertime. In England, London is bustling with activity and the center of fashion, inspired by the simple fabrics of Grecian times. Young girls swoon innocently over the homecoming soldiers and sailors, and old bitties gossip about this and that and much more. In a time where formality is strict and manners define your status as well as money, it is imperative to be knowledgable and to know your place in the scheme of things.

Outside of London, the large country houses sit on lush green fields. Behind these stone walls, anything can happen.

(Hawk, wanna add more?)

Just this:

Yes, the seasons and years WILL CHANGE. But only when it's a unanimous agreement, reached by all members of this RP in Off-Topic. The updated season and year will be posted here when relevant.

11/18/2008 #8

Yay! :D Could we also have it be like a week or so after the whole opera-Dagley-highwayman fiasco(s)? It would make more sense with the invitations and all...?

Yet another party! Sir. Peter Worthington cordially invites you to celebrate the safe return of his daughter, Ms. Elizabeth Worthington, at Keswick Manor.

(After the Brighton party, of course!!)

Ooo, TWO parties!!!

11/18/2008 #16

Mr. and Mrs. Kingston cordially invite you ((all characters)) to a ball at Rothbury Lodge, held to celebrate the homecoming of Charlotte Kingston and her father from a trip to Spain. The Ball will take place on the 29th of June at 7:00 p.m. ((Two days from now.))

1/11/2009 #17

((Two days in the RPG or in real time?))

1/12/2009 #18

((In the RPG))

1/12/2009 #19

((So whenever the days change, or people decide to speed things up?))

1/12/2009 #20

Yeah. Rachel or Sissi will inform us when the days change.

1/12/2009 #21

The way it works is, well... in the past, it's usually been something along the lines of "Okay, we're bored, let's have a party." Write the invite, set up the post, yadda yadda. So whenever RM feels like starting the party RP, as long as we've had enough notice, she's more than welcome to :)

1/12/2009 #22

Yup, pretty much. ^_^

1/12/2009 #23

Rach! Rach! I think I figured out what we can do with Charlotte's papa!!!

1/12/2009 #24

WHAT? WHAT? (*psst* Let's go to off-topic)

1/12/2009 #25

About how long till the ball, do you think? I want to know if I should stay on for a while longer or be on around the same time tomorrow.

1/13/2009 #26

Rach and I need to wrap-up our scene with Charlotte and Edmund and then we can FF to the ball. We're just waiting for the right moment....

1/13/2009 #27

Juuuuust the right moment...

1/13/2009 #28

Hey rach, I noticed in Helen's letter to Cuthbert Castle that the date went from Spring 1814 to autumn of 1815. Slight mistake or should we move on a little?

5/10/2009 #29

I was going by Charlotte and Edmund time - Charlotte spent part of the summer in Spain, and then we ffed a little, so I'm assuming it's early fall. So yes - slight mistake AND we should move on a little. I meant autumn of 1814. My bad...
