Lewis carefully picked her up and carried up the stairs into the bedroom, placing her on the bed and kissing her. "It's going to be alright my dear," he told her softly, "We are both going to be alright."

She nodded and kissed him, trembling.

"You'll be careful?" she asked nervously, looking at him. She trusted Lewis with her life, but the assurance was all she needed.

He ran a hand over her cheek. "I promise."

She nodded and gave a smile.

"I love you."

"I do too Marianne," Lewis told her, "And trust me, I'm as nervous as you are about this."

He got down on the bed beside her.

She rolled over to look at him and began to breathe unsteadily, slowly undoing the buttons on her blouse.

(You decide when to fade)

Lewis carefully pulled off his uniform then looked her in the eye. "The sooner we get this over with the better."

((Alright, fade now!))

When all was more done than said, Marianne lay beneath the covers and tried to catch her breath. It hurt, but not as bad as she'd been lead to believe. He'd been so gentle, so loving, that even considering the circumstances she was happy - no, blissful.

Her chest rose and fell with each breath, moving with the ring on the chain around her neck. She turned to her beloved and stroked his cheek gently.

"Love?" she called softly.

He took her hand. "Yes my dear," he whispered, "Are you alright?"

2/1/2009 #69

She nodded, looking tired.

"Are you?" she asked, putting her other hand around his.

Lewis nodded, "I'm fine."

2/1/2009 #71

"Is he still there?" she asked nervously.

"Yes he is," Lewis told her, "If you want to stay here in bed for now, I'll go and deal with him."

2/1/2009 #73

She nodded.

"I love you." she told him quietly.

"I know, I love you too," Lewis said getting up and going downstairs.

A few minutes later he came back. "My brother's gone," he told her, "Would you like me to take you home now?"

2/1/2009 #75

She looked at him and shook her head.

"I don't want to go anywhere." she told him. "My legs hurt."

She quickly added: "Not because of you, darling. No, I'm just so tired..."

Lewis sat back down beside her. "Then get some rest my dear, I'll take you home when you are less tired."

2/1/2009 #77

She nodded and went close to him, slowly falling asleep.

Lewis put his arms around her, just enjoying watching her sleep and thinking about how lucky he was to have her.

((Should we do a time lapse now?? Until a few hours later when Marianne wakes up??))

2/1/2009 #79

Marianne didn't wake up until morning streamed in through the windows, and even then she still didn't want to wake up. She looked around for Lewis.

Lewis came into the room then, a tray of food in his hands. He put it down beside her. "I figured when you woke up that you would want some breakfast," he told her, "And then we should get you home. I bet your parents are worried sick about you."

2/1/2009 #81

She nodded and sat up, tucking the blankets around her.

"Thank you." she told him, eating. "Did you get anything."

"I ate downstairs in the kitchen," he told her, "This is all for you, so enjoy."

He winked at her. "Did I know that I knew how to cook good breakfast?"

2/1/2009 #83

She smiled brightly and took another bite.

"It's delicious." she said with a laugh.

"Well thank you," Lewis said with a smile. "Now how are you feeling this morning my princess?"

2/1/2009 #85

"Better." she said with a smile. "I mean, I'm... I'm fine... just cold."

((There she goes again..cold in June...))

Lewis grabbed a blanket from the closest and placed it around her shoulders before sitting on the bed, crossed-legged, by her side.

2/1/2009 #87

((What? It's always cold in the morning. :P Oh Paris...))

She smiled and kissed his cheek.

"Merci." she told him.

He smiled back, "Eat up my dear because I have to get you home. Think about how your parents must be worrying..."

2/1/2009 #89

"I know." she said, looking worried. "Poor Maman... and Papa!"

She finished breakfast and reached for her skirt and blouse, then blushed at Lewis.

"Would you, um..." she stumbled, looking for privacy.
