Since there's no "Music Thread" on this forum yet. Allow your Resident "Doctor" / "Madman" to create it for you.

So, idea of this thread is to post songs you like, discuss music, lyrics, etc. This is a discussion, not post your lyrics. If you want to post an excerpt from a song and comment on it, feel free. If it's an entire song, find a link to the lyrics and post that instead.

Also, if you're like me and listen to music in different languages, please be courteous and find a video with a translation. If not, make one, bitch. :)

Allow Doc to start this motherfucker off with some dank-ass music your National Socialist Mother wouldn't approve of:

Does anyone like The Young Veins, The Gaslight Anthem, Panic! At The Disco, August Burns Red, or Switchfoot?

Panic! At The Disco -- I like well enough. 8P Switchfoot is the only other of those I've heard of, and I don't remember what the music's like.

7/18/2010 #5

I know I've heard at least one song by Panic! At the Disco and I liked it pretty well. Switchfoot is pretty good- I actually saw them live a while back. August Burns Red is an awesome band name. By the way, I've just discovered a band called Jack's Mannequin- you should check them out. I posted two of their songs in the confession thread.

Is PatD the ones who do "Nine in the Afternoon"?

7/18/2010 #8
Creeping Collarbones

Yeah. I think some of their other songs are better.

Together Again. For seriously, if the rest of the new Evanescence album that is coming out sounds this good, it might be my fave yet.

Well, that's insane, because I couldn't have imagined them getting something better than The Open Door. But of course I shall hear this new song, a-- Here I go;

Well. ... I'll definitely buy any new album from them; I adore Evanescence. 8P But I can't say I like this new song more than anything on Fallen or The Open Door.

Fallen was epic.

The Open Door, was good, but not to the awesome of Fallen.

Together Again is fallen-esque with a new sound.

I will always be an Evanescence fan. :D

You have to love comments like -- If you need drugs to enjoy Manson's music, then you're doing it wrong.

I just bought Emilie Autumn concert tickets! ^.^ Squee!

Lyllyth: When is [or was] the EA concert?

11/17/2010 #19

Music in other languaes? Hello, Eurovision. Now that's a way of getting a nice language-variety, as for what the songs mean, don't care!

I like some Basshunter, and I believe that's Swedish.

11/20/2010 #21

Yeah... I think it is.

But Swedish isn't that foreign... ;-)

11/21/2010 #22

Evanesence and Switchfoot, yes.

Then there's classical people, like John Mackey, David Manslanka, Frank Tichelli, Samuel R. Hazo, ect.

For my other bands: Linkin Park, Good Charlotte, Green Day, Owl City, Coldplay, Collective Soul, Rob Thomas, Daughtry, Imagine Dragons, Volbeat; man, there's a LOT.

And one Japanese group of singers, the Vocaloids. (Kaito is my favorite, and I listen to YOHIO in real life things, as well.) I also get a good amount of Japanese music from the Anime I watch.

Wow, I listen to a lot of music...
