During WW2 the U.S. military planned to drop LIVE BATS, encased in bomb shaped metal containers, upon Japan. Bats were secretly collected from caves in the U.S. South West during WW2. Each live bat would have a tiny incendiary device attached to its body. Bats naturally roost in rafters and most buildings in Japan (At that time) were made of wood. Fires would be started as the little devices on the bats went off. Causing random fires, destruction and panic. All was in ready to deploy the first "Bat Bombs" when the Enola Gay dropped the "A-Bomb" on Japan thus ending the need for the Bat Bomb.
