Xekial shut his eyes, leaping off the balcony. He struck the ground in a crouch, feeling the pain shoot through his legs. There was no crack of bone, no tear of flesh. He smirked, standing to his feet. The wound in his stomach stung. He looked up to see a young girl leaning against this brother's jeep.

Xaden flicked off the engine, feeling along the floor for his handgun. He never thought he would need to use it. He never thought he would be attacked by his own kind. His fingers made contact and he shoved it in the rim of his pants, making sure the safety was flicked first. He rounded he car, watching his brother make a perfect landing from the second story window.

Leaving our hospitality so soon Xekial? Why not stay a little while longer?" Morgan sneered as they walked out into the rain outside the hotel

"What the hell?" Vanessa said as the man jumped from the building and pushed herself off the car.

Ellestial wondered down the sidewalk, the shouts thundering in her ears. She shook her head, trying to focus. A group of armed men bolted from the front door of the Patten House. She thought of turning around and walking back towards the club, but what fun would that be. Besides, her powers always seemed stronger when she was buzzed.

Xekial saw the men plow through the front door. His brother looked like a deer frozen in headlights, caressing the firearm. Xekial flickered across the backyard, using his powers to move faster than light. The rain felt like acid against his bare skin. The Smallwood bloodline was known primarily for their speed. He stopped between Xaden and Morgan, protecting his younger brother and the girl from harm. "I would love to, but I already made other plans."

Xaden watched his brother flicker in and out of perception. He appeared in front of him, poised for battle. "Xekiel, don't be an idiot." He mumbled, glancing over his shoulder at the young girl. Morgan would rip her to shreds. She had no idea what sort of danger she was in. He saw Ellestial stumbling down the street, illuminated by the occasional streetlamp.

Morgan smiled. "Ever been shot with silver bullets? Our guns are loaded with them." The men lowered their firearms, pointing them in the two vampire brothers direction.

"What vampire hasn't?" He murmured, gripping his side where the glass had sliced. Blood oozed between his fingers, dripping to the ground in a steady stream. His vision started to become hazy, but he shook away the foggy lenses. His glacial blue eyes cut through the darkness, locked on Morgan.

Ellestial rounded the jeep, coming to stand beside Xade.

Xaden almost jumped at the sight of Ellestial. She stood beside him, soaking wet. He had never been more happy to see her, but the feeling faded as soon as he realized her drunken state. He frowned. She was no use to them. "The keys are still in the ignition." He whispered to the blonde, nodding at the jeep.

"I hate vampires." Ellestial muttered, her features darkening. Xaden was a bit startled by her energy, hoping she would not release it on him.

"Well this has been fun." He raised his arm and the vampires all took aim.

As Rob approached the patton house he saw a commotion outside the front doors, sensing that things were about to go as well as they had the previous day, he foored the accelerator and roared into the parking lot. He slammed on the brakes, all four of the vehicles massive disk brakes locked up causing the vehicle to slide several feet, and causing Anderson to slam forward in his seat. He grabbed the shotgun off the dash', threw the door open and jumped out into the rain. Robert pointed teh shotgun skyward and fired a single round. The weapon went off with an explosive bang.

"What is going on here?!" He asked with authority. It seemed that everyone from last night was present, as well as several newcomers and everyone did not seem to be getting along well at all.

With the sound of the shotgun going off, Dominic whipped around and fired off three shots, all of them aimed at the man who just arrived at the party.

Ellestial jumped in front of Xekiel. She screamed in agony, black wings unfurling from her back. They sheilded the two vampires and the young girl. She could take a few silver bullets. Silver would not bounce off her skin, but it wouldn't kill her. Only gold could kill her.

With the sudden movement and camotion, the group of vampire's opened fire, at everyone, even random civillians rushing aorund everywhere.

Max jumped out of the Deputy's truck, pulling her handgun and fired at the vampire's as they began their half crazy shooting.

Two of the vampire's first shots went wild, but the third caught Anderson in the leg as he was scrambling for cover behind his truck. "S**t!" He cursed in pain. He pumped the shotgun, leaned around the truck, and fired silver buckshot into the crowd of vampires. his body started running on autopilot, without hesitation he racked another shell into the chamber and fired again.

Ellestial stood her ground, feeling the exlposion of white hot fire as bullets bit into her flesh. Her stomach, her thigh, her chest. She winced. A bullet sliced through her right wing with an explosion of black feathers. "Elle!" Xekial shouted, moving behind the lead henchman in a flash. He slipped a knife against his throat, pressing hard enough to draw blood. The deputy sherriff was shooting rounds into the crowd. Xekial stayed behind Dominic, out of the line of fire.

"GEt in the car! Get in the car." Xaden shouted, pulling out his gun and taking aim at the vampires. His brother materialized behind the lead henchman, pressing a knife to his throat.

"Seize your fire!" He shouted, voice strained from the injury to his stomach.

Dominic stopped shooting when the knife pressed on his throat, and so did the others. But Morgan just laughed and pulled out his silver bladed combat knife and lunged at Xekial with reflexs faster than most normal vampires.

Anderson dropped the shotgun and pulled out his pistol, this was no time for spray and pray, hearts and heads he thought sighting down the pistol, and fired five silver rounds down range straight at the chest of the vampire who had shot him in a matter of seconds.

"Silver won't work on him!" Xekiel shouted at Robert, blocking the strike with the blade of his knife. He dodged out of the way, slicing his own knife through the air with quick reflexes.

"Why not?!" Anderson yelled back at Xekial, lowering his gun slightly.

Morgan parried as he whipped out the handgun, attempting to fire at point blank range

Robert glowered and watched the knife fight unfold before him, he didn't like not being able to do anything in a situation such as this. If regular ammo didn't kill them, and silver ammo didn't kill them, what did?

"He's an ancient." He growled, swatting the firearm away. "Elle." He phased behind the vampire, bringing down his knife and hoping for contact.

With the firefight ceasing, Xaden knelt over Ellestial. She lay sprawled across the ground, her shirt in ribbons. Her wings were extended, pelted with bullet holes. She coughed up blood, choking on the crimson liquid. "She can weaken him." He whispered, regardless of whether the sherriff heard him or not. She was in no shape to fight.

"Damn" Robert said quietly, that girl was down on the ground, full of lead, er silver. His guns were useless, and he was the least well equipped of the people around him. "They can't all be ancient or whatever, some of them need to be able to be killed by the silver bullets!" Anderson yelled back.

Morgan felt the knife slice through his back, cutting through hard muscle, soft tissue and vertebrea. He fell to the ground, the blow a mortal one, blood began to pool around his form. His men seize to fight, Looking at their fallen master. It had been so fast, so unexpected, the weapon had caught the ancient vampire off guard, and he had payed for it. with his life.

Dominic felt the hail of bullets slam into his chest, and he felt the silver already begin to burn it's way through his blood stream. The man who had shot him was a cop. Domminic pull out the large eppipen he carried, and slammed the device into his chest, pushing the small button on the back. The blood from it flowed quickly into his veins, doing what it was intended to do, wash out the silver. Unfortunatlly the blood wasn't enough to give him back his strength, and he lay there on the ground, unable to move.

"Ah!" Rob sighed finally seeing the vampire who had shot him fall to the ground, apparently silver did effect some of them.

Xekial stumbled backwards, the blood loss causing him to sway. The knife slipped from his fingers and clattered to the ground.

It was quiet for a moment, everyone was looking at the dead vampire lord, when suddenly, a bone chilling laugh was heard. The blood pooled around the dead man began to seep backwards, into his his lifeless body, and he rose quickly from the ground, a crazed look of triumph on his face. "You will learn boy." He spat. "That it is not so easy to kill an Ancient." He pulled the short sword form his trenchcoat, the blade longer than his knife he had been weilding. "I've been using one of these for thousands of years. Let's see how well you fair." The young vampire had apparently lost alot of blood, and had dropped his weapon. "I don't even know if you're worth the effore to kill." He snarled.

Robert shoved two more shotgun shells into the shotgun, replacing the ones he had already fired. This ancient bastard couldn't be killed by silver, but he wasn't going to let him just kill another man, and besides eight shotguns rounds to the chest was still gonna hurt like hell. The Benelli had no interlock so as long as he held the trigger down, everytime he pumped the weapon it would fire. Ie leaned around the corner, carefully aimed down the green phosphorus sights, and hammered off all eight rounds in less then ten seconds directly at that ancient bastard.

Xekial stumbled, his knees surrendering beneath his weight. He collapsed to the ground, his head striking the ground.

Ellestial stirred, the silver moving through her viens. She tried folding her wings, straining against the pain. Feathers lay on the ground around her.

"Leave now, i'm feeling merciful. Or stay and me and my men can slaughter you all, your choice." He suddenly got knocked off his feet as the shotgun blasts slammed into his chest, launchng him backwards. He lapt up from the ground, blood covering his suit. "Now that just wasn't nice." He raised his gun and shot at the human. "The prey has no right to harm the hunter, just live with the way of the world and get over it, human. Your kind are cattle to us." he fired off a few rounds at the man.
