That's possible, but it would be a massive engineering achievement and not something to be accomplished easily. Alternatively there could be an underground aquifer the tribe could tap into. Just remember that if they can, others can too.

Hey MW, during the next update, for Ashvinau I'll take gold or White if they're availible.

SilverBlue, would you mind taking gold? I'd like New Indroie to be white.

10/11/2009 #33
SilverBlueSnow

Nah, I don't mind.

I'd like the Eerethea to be either orange or some kind of tan color.

Oh, for the color of the Rusecto can I either have black, I can't tell whether the valbadu have grey or black, or a very dark purple?

Bibliomanzer

Valbadu has grey, to symbolize their affinity for iron.

10/15/2009 #37
KrossVD

Cool than I would prefer black, unless they would be too similar a color

No, the Valbadu grey is a neutral grey, not too dark and not too light. I don't think it'll be too similar.

BTW, could you reply in the Eerethea Tribe thread? My halflings are awaiting a reply from Geld and his men.

Recap on all locations for my nations

New Survaek: Main city at the bay in square 10 by 19, with scattered peasant villages in the surrounding fertile land; coal mine and stone quarry in 10 by 20, lumber camp at 10 by 18, iron mines in 8 by 19 and 7 by 19; coastal fortress in construction at the intersection of latitude line 8 and longitude line 17, with scattered peasant villages in the fertile land below.

New Indroie: main city at 8.5-7 with a growing number of farming villages in the fertile land to the West, South, and Southwest; iron-mining outpost at about 7.5-2.5; coal-mining outpost on the hill in square 10-8; lumber outpost slightly West of 11-5 on the Northern side of the river; site of the Iquo Clan slightly East of 11-5 on the Southern side of the river

I am aware that the two descriptions are inconsistent in that New Survaek's goes mainly by squares, New Indroie's by more exact longitude-latitude intersections. I will attempt to remedy this in the future.

The map has been updated. This is not the next period's map, it's the so-we-know-where-all-these-new-colonies-are map. Let me know if I missed anything. The new map will come on schedule.

Nice job, MW! Keep up the good work!

Is there a list of which nations are which colors?

That's a good idea. I think I'll do that.

Hey Mindwarp just to let you know about my expansions, My Neonites have a well-established Lumber Camp at 11,7 as well as a fairly new stone camp at 12,5. As Rusecto I have established a small city with a palisade at 13,18 with small farming outposts around it and homesteads small farming homesteads at 13,17 14,17 with the most defense being perhaps a smal fortified fort, barely more than a glorified house, for nobles or leaders to hold out in.

Status of the umenites:

My initial base is at 6:8, with farms at 6:6 and a lumber camp at 6:9. I will probably start surface mining of coal at 6:10 shortly, but it may or may not be before the next map update.

Afnikasa, a new city, is being built 5 mm directly east of Seret, in the mountains.

Thanks, I'll have the map updated by this monday at the latest.

Indroie has expanded Westward through square 9-10 with new serf villages and another fortified coal mine, and Southward into the squares on each side of the first coal mine with only serf villages.

New Survaek, by now, has effectively settled the entire peninsula, albeit sparsely.

The Umenites have established a (currently) very small mining site at 6,10
