okay, interesting! you could make him relatable by imbuing him in some sort of obsessive romantic subplot? good luck, anyways ;)

Yeah, we'll see how it goes. It's probably gonna be very rough and I'll end up winging a lot of it haha. I think, since he'll be pretty much only killing bad guys, that might help a bit. Sort of like Dexter, or so I've heard haha, but without the concerted effort to appear normal. My character realized a long time ago how different he was and sticks to himself pretty much haha.

10/14/2011 #2,882

I've never seen Dexter, but I've heard its good. I go more for the artsy loner types, rather than the psychopath ones... haha.

Yeah, I watched a few episodes a couple years ago. Seemed cool enough; I just never got into it.

For me, I've always been interested in psychopaths, so I figured it was time to give writing one a shot. I'm no expert on the subject, by a fucking long shot haha, but I like to think I know at least a bit more than the average person, so I want to try to write one who actually comes across as a real person. We'll see how it goes though haha.

10/14/2011 #2,884

one would hope you were not anactual psychopath. that would be taking 'write what you know' to the extreme!

Stylistic Nightmare

Haha yeah. No, I've just done a lot of research. If I were an actual psychopath, I'd totally tell you guys. Yes. You can trust me.

Ha ha ha.

*nervous smile*

It's always the quiet ones though. The lurkers.

Stylistic Nightmare

Indeed. I'm usually fairly extroverted on here, so hopefully that comforts you a bit. Of course, I could just be acting all forward to throw you off.

10/14/2011 #2,888

oh yeah. this is getting complicated lol. just straight up don't be a psychopath. there. settled!

10/14/2011 #2,889
Stylistic Nightmare

Indeed. You have spoken, and so it shall be. haha

10/14/2011 #2,890

Hey, guys.

10/14/2011 #2,898
Stephanie M. Moore

Hey Don. How's work going?

10/14/2011 #2,899
Stylistic Nightmare

It's going all right. Keeping me busy haha, but I'm finally starting to actually save some money.

How're you?

10/14/2011 #2,900
Stephanie M. Moore

Pretty good. It's the weekend.

I have an early start in the morning though. It's kind of sad. So it's mixed. lol.

10/14/2011 #2,901
Stylistic Nightmare

Haha yeah, I know what you mean. I've got an 11-3 shift tomorrow, and 9-2 on Sunday. So I'll get a good portion of the weekend off, but still have to get up fairly early both days. But then I have Monday and Tuesday off, and I booked next weekend off. So close haha.

This place has definitely been a little Don deficient lately.

10/14/2011 #2,903
Stylistic Nightmare

Yeah. It's not even the work that's doing it. It's the knowing I have to work in the morning and therefore having to actually go to bed at night that does it haha.

10/14/2011 #2,904
Stephanie M. Moore

I understand. So much.

The mornings almost aren't as bad as having to go to bed at a decent hour.

10/14/2011 #2,905
Stylistic Nightmare

Yeah. I hate it when I have a closing shift followed by a morning shift the next day. I stay up late the nights before I close, so I can sleep right until it's time to head to work. But then I have a hell of a time getting to sleep that night so I can get up the next morning haha.

10/14/2011 #2,906
Stephanie M. Moore

Sounds like one messed up sleep schedule.

How many days a week do you usually work?

10/14/2011 #2,907
Stylistic Nightmare

Usually I get four shifts a week. Only have three this upcoming week since I booked next weekend off. I had five/week the last two weeks due to the holiday weekend and one of the guys I work with taking a week off.

10/14/2011 #2,908
Stephanie M. Moore

Cool. How's life outside of work?

10/14/2011 #2,909
Stylistic Nightmare

Same as it's always been haha. I sit around, try to write, and end up playing NHL haha.
