Aria sat on the couch, hugging her knees tight against her chest. She wiped the tears away, watching him pace back and forth in the living room. The light of the television flickered across his coat and flashed in his eyes. She knew he would protect her. He had proven that multiple times, from the moment he rescued her in the woods to the time he taught that vampire a lesson for looking at her the wrong way. "Are you going out tonight?" She asked, leaning back against the couch.

Justin stopped pacing and looked at her. Leave her? Not tonight. Not without her. He shook his head and jumped up on the couch. Cas was trying to climb his way up the couch and Justin kicked him off with his back leg. "Tonight I belong right here."

[Haha. Poor Cas.]

Cas let out a yelp, but forgot about the abuse a few seconds later and went off to explore the house. Aria smiled at the puppy and his antics, reaching out to scratch Justin. She would rather be running through the woods than sitting in the house, but it was dangerous. Especially to be stuck in human skin on a full moon. "Even if it means watching Matthew Mcconaughey with me?" She shot him a smile, pulling the blanket over her body and stretching out on the couch.

As long as you remind me how much hotter I am than him, sure. Justin curled up with her, feeling like one of the puppies. Now he had all her attention. There was no doubt he wanted to run through the forest, but he wanted Aria more than anything.

Aria laughed, feeling his warm body curl against hers. "So much hotter." She assured him and rested her head on a pillow. Within ten minutes, she had fallen asleep. Her breaths were shallow and a peaceful look passed over her face.

Watching her sleep, Justin felt himself falling even more in love with her. She was carrying his child. They were going to be more than just a couple. They were going to bring a new life into the world. They were going to become a family. I promise you my life, Arianna Preston.

Aria stirred in her sleep, shifting on the couch. The light from the television danced across her eyelids. She moaned, pulling the blanket over her head and stretching her toes.

6/19/2010 #157

Justin glanced at Aria, finding the TV boring. "Aria?"

"Hmm?" Her eyes fluttered open. She sat forward, seeing the puppies piled in the corner of the room. The chick flick had turned to an advertisement about some miracle belt that trimmed fat. She reached for the remote blindly.

6/19/2010 #159

"Are you okay?" Justin asked, tilting his head to the side.

"Just tired." She produced a sleepy smile, debating whether she had the energy to make it to the bedroom.

6/19/2010 #161

"The bed is more comfortable," he told her. Justin wished he could be in his human form. He would pick her up and carry her to the bedroom. The full moon was an inconvenience tonight.

"Yeah, I know." She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and swung her legs over the side of the couch. Stirring to her feet, she walked into the kitchen and searched the cabinents for a glass. She filled it with water from the faucet and took a long sip. Leaning against the counter, she absentmindedly stroked her stomach.

She wondered if it was a boy or a girl. They needed to start choosing names, picking colors for the nursery, and buying baby books.

Aria finished the water and set the glass in the sink. She went to the glass patio door and pulled the curtain shut, making sure the door was locked. She glanced at the front door, but just assumed Justin had locked it. Pulling her hair back in a loose ponytail, she headed for the bedroom. The bed was still unmade from her earlier nap. She stripped out of her robe and snuggled under the blankets.

Justin hopped off the couch and glanced at the puppies as he left the living room. He trotted down the hall and into the bedroom. Aria was already in bed. He hopped onto the mattress and curled up beside her.

[Logan Entering]

Logan started down the street, but stopped in front of one home in particular. Despite the smell of smoke, he smelled a familiar scent. Aria. She had been so distant from his mind lately. He watched the house for a long moment. The lights were dimmed, the occupants asleep.

6/20/2010 #166

Justin had been walking through the house, doing a routine safety check when he caught the scent of another wolf on the property. Another male, a familiar one. A growl shook his chest. Somehow Justin managed to get the front door open. Slowly, stalking on to the front lawn, Justin saw his rival. A loud growl erupted from deep inside him.

Logan returned the threat with equal volume, crouching down on his haunches and preparing to spring. He had no reason to fight the wolf, other than for sport. Once upon a time, Logan thought he loved Aria. That was before Eliza. Back then, he had no idea what true love and companionship felt like. Aria was an amazing woman, but not his woman. Relax, I was just passing by. He pushed the thought towards the rival wolf, hoping it would reach him.

If not, Logan was ready for a fight. This time, he would win.

Aria heard the loud growl and sat forward, holding a sheet to her breasts. She glanced around for Justin, panicking at his absence. Slipping out of bed, she grabbed her robe off the floor and tied it around her waist. "Justin?" She called out, trailing into the kitchen and glancing around. The puppies were standing in the open doorway, staring out into the front lawn. "Justin?" Aria questioned, moving towards them.

6/20/2010 #168

"Yeah? Then get the fuck off my lawn." Justin snarled and bared his teeth, getting closer to Logan. When he heard Aria, he tensed. "Go back to bed," he ordered, not glancing back.

"Logan?" She asked, standing in the doorway. She could sense the tension between the two. She could not bear to see them fight, not again. Not after what happened the last time. Justin had left Logan for dead. "What is going on?"

Logan glanced past Justin, catching a glimpse of Aria. For a moment, confusion got the best of him. It was a full moon. She was in human form. How? Then the gears started turning. He relaxed off his haunches, retreating from the aggressive position. "Is she..." His mental voice lost energy. Aria was pregnant. He was from another pack. "Do you realize how dangerous this is?" He snarled, advancing forward.

6/20/2010 #170

"Get inside," he snapped at Aria. Turning his full attention on Logan, Justin felt himself starting to lose control. "Do you have any idea how dangerous I am? Anyone who even thinks of threatening Aria better start writing their will." Justin crouched down, preparing to make his move. His anger was awakening the beast he fought so hard to control.

"I came to Mauderville to protect her!" Logan snarled at his rival, taking another step towards Justin. When he heard the screams carried on the wind, he stopped in his tracks. Sniffing at the air, he could smell the faintest hint of blood. Something was wrong. He cast a curious glance at the gray wold, wondering if he picked up on it too.

((unity and Duncan entering)) Unity pulled up to the driveway and looked at Duncan. She knew who's house it was by the scent and turned off the car, stepping out.
6/20/2010 #173

Just before he lost control, Justin heard the faint screams. His anger simmered down. His heart raced inside his chest. "Yeah, I sense it." He ran up to Aria and nudged her with his body. "Something's going on. Get in the house. I won't fight him," he thought towards Aria.

"Promise?" Aria demanded, retreating into the house. She scooped up Cas and Peaches, bringing them inside with her. She wished she could sense the same as them, but it would be a long time until she could shift. Headlights shone in front of the house and she frowned. "Who is that? What is going on?" She needed some sort of explination. It was just past midnight. She should be sleeping, not getting strange house-calls from her husband and strangers pulling into the drive-way.

6/20/2010 #175

Justin nodded. Turning around and glancing at the truck, he saw Duncan hopping out of the truck. "Hello, brother," Duncan said. "We've got a problem. They're called engkantos. All I know is that they're attracted to pure blood, pure souls. Children." Justin ran to his brother and paced in front of him. "What?" Duncan glanced at Aria and sniffed the air. "What the...Justin!"

Justin's eyes narrowed. "Watch it." A low growl came from Justin's throat.

"Have you ever heard of a condom?" Duncan snapped at Justin.

6/20/2010 #176
Unity got out of the truck, looking at the two wolves. She walked over to Aria, "do you know what's going on?" she asked.

"Is Aria in danger?" Logan stepped forward, cautious of the wolves. He was outnumbered, but they had a similar goal. They needed to keep her safe. He kept his head low, as a sign of respect. The last thing he wanted was a fight, not with a more pressing danger brewing somewhere nearby.

"No clue." Aria sighed. Cas wriggled in her arms, trying to get free and join the men outside. "You should come in. Are you thirsty?" She asked. The cold was starting to nip at her skin, stealing through the open door. She would have asked Justin to make a fire, but that was out of the question.

6/20/2010 #178

"Back to the problem," Justin snarled at Duncan.

Duncan circled his brother as he thought about it. "They feed on pure souls. Innocents. That means they target kids, children, babies." Justin looked at Aria, then back to his brother. Without asking, Duncan already knew Justin's question. "Aria and Unity are both in danger. We need to get them somewhere safe. Underground, maybe. Any ideas?" Duncan asked the wolves.

Justin trotted up Aria, pushing against her legs. "Aria, you and Unity are in danger. We need to get you somewhere safe." Noticing a struggling Casanova in Aria's arms, he growled and flashed his canines to intimidate the puppy.

"Fine, let me change." Aria gave Casanova a hug, letting him down from her arms. She started back into the house, through the living toom and into the bedroom. Sorting through the closet, she turned up a pair of jeans and a long-sleeved shirt. She pulled them on quickly, knowing that Justin was never patient when it came to her safety.

"Jesse?" Logan glanced up to see the neighbor standing on the front stoop and cradling a baby.

"Um..." He looked at Justin, then Duncan. "You said babies and pregnant woman, right?"
