As the name implies.

Sweet. There's a chat area, finally. I'm working on finishing a paper up for school but as soon as I finish then I'll be able to concentrate on my character.

12/16/2010 #2

Take your time. I'm still working on making all the rp locations.

Phoebe Powers

I noticed.

12/16/2010 #4

I think we have enough to start with. I've got Venice, Florence, Rome/Vatican, and the Italian countryside.

Also, I sent you your activation code in a PM.

I am an enemy in a strange land...

12/17/2010 #7

What, you're opposed to doing a little research? And you call yourself a history buff!

12/17/2010 #8
J.A. Fletcher

I am doing research, and I never called myself a history buff. You just did.

12/17/2010 #9

I think you'd make a nice Cesare Borgia.

12/17/2010 #10
J.A. Fletcher

That sounds like an Italian dish.

12/17/2010 #11

Bite your tongue and look it up.

12/17/2010 #12
J.A. Fletcher

Aw, geez. Well, I'll be back soon. I can look it up on the train, but for some reason my telephone doesn't let me write stuff on FictionPress.

12/17/2010 #13

(Goodnight, I must go to bed...sadly...I'm actually being forced against my will here :) so I'll continue the RP in the morning. I like this RP by the way :D. See you! Bye! Oh, and I changed my profile something incredibly strange...but non-Harry Potter related. Anyway, see you :D)

12/17/2010 #14
J.A. Fletcher

Er...what was that about?

Danielle Thamasa

Hey, kinda (but not really) random comment to make...The Italian word for Florence is Firenze, so it would be Il Republica Firenze, not Florentina.

This all looks great by the way. I've been trying not to join any other RPs but I may have to consider making an exception.

12/17/2010 #16

Well Dani, I made a bigger mistake than that: it's 1492 and Lorenzo de Medici died in 1489. Hahahahahahaha. I might just keep him for my purposes.

12/18/2010 #17
J.A. Fletcher

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Rennaissance humor.

12/18/2010 #18

By the way, Dani, it turns out we were both wrong. You see, the term was not the Republic of Florence, in which case you would be right, it being Il Repubblica di Firenze. However, the actual name was The Florentine Republic, or Il Repubblica Fiorentina.

Wikipedia. Oh yes.

Actually, in response to your mistake with Lorenzo de' Medici, he actual died April 9, 1492.

Hello!!! I'm new here

Can I join to the RPG???? I'm historian, so I know this period of time very well and I have two years of experience in historical narrative RPG's

J.A. Fletcher

Well, of course you have to submit three references, but you already know that. Just send in your references, resume and cover letter, and we'll give you a call to see if we want to give you an interview.

2/9/2011 #22
Helena di Foscari

Excuseme? three references? you are kidding me, aren't you? The rules doesn't say anything about that... And this is not an employ it's a role play... I thought that I only had to send the character profile to be approve and to have knowledge about the period of time....

2/9/2011 #23

Ahahahahahahaha. Easy there, Fletcher.

He's kidding, Helena. Make your character. We'll be glad to have you.

2/9/2011 #24
J.A. Fletcher

Yeah well, those were the old rules. We sent out a memo with the new rules.

2/9/2011 #25
J.A. Fletcher

Oh, shucks, he's here.

2/9/2011 #26
Helena di Foscari

Ok, I'm creating the profile of my character, when I finish I'll upload it ;-)

Have you ever think to create a RPG forum??? It's better to role play because the graphics, character profiles, locations... It have a lot of possibilities. I'm talking of something like this:

It's only a suggestion (and a doubt I have) ;-)

Phoebe Powers

All right, I'm here. Let's chat.

8/3/2011 #28

So I've done a lot of thinking, and what we've got here is the Cold War condensed onto a single peninsula. It's a chess game where people and nations are the pieces.

Sounds like fun, no?

8/3/2011 #29
Phoebe Powers

Yes it does sound like fun.
