Thanks! :) Sometime, you should check out my myriad of Hairspray fics (shameless plug over) :)

Do you have a fanfiction account?

3/24/2011 #92
Rosemarysgraden001

I believe I do, but it just had a version of the wild one on there, I write more original fiction than fanfics, unless it includes the jobros.

3/24/2011 #93
surfercharlie25

Ah :) Yeah, I was big into it for a while, but original fiction is a little bit more fun to write, I think; you don't have to kowtow to anybody else's ideas :)

3/24/2011 #94
Rosemarysgraden001

I like using my own ideas better.

@Rosemary: I don't like Sex and the City either. I think it's a pretty pointless show; I don't get the appeal.

I also don't get why they made a movie about it. (Never saw the movie, I just saw the trailer on TV once)

Nvr watching it again...Im attempting to watch lord of the rings now.

3/28/2011 #97
surfercharlie25

I wouldn't say that Lord of the Rings is much better, myself, but I know I'm in the minority there :)

Rosemarysgraden001

The lord of the rings plot isnt that interesing, but the scenery is beautiful, I would watch it just for the scenery.

surfercharlie25

The set decoration is great, I'll give the movies that :) They just drag on way too long, I think :) I mean, there's nothing wrong with a long movie, as long as you've got enough plot to fill the time :) The LOTR movies didn't :)

3/29/2011 #100
Rosemarysgraden001

True, I just liked the scenery haha, I only have tried watching the first LOTR

3/29/2011 #101
surfercharlie25

Well, that's the least bad of 'em all :) I mean, it's still bad, but it's not bad as The Return of the King! The thought of that movie is just sickening! :)

What's sad is that the books are quite good; they could have made really good movies :)

3/29/2011 #102
Rosemarysgraden001

Oh, Nick(Tegh) said that to me yesterday, I have nvr read the books, I always find myself sitting by the same couple in the oakland center.

3/29/2011 #103
surfercharlie25

You ought to :) There are plenty of good sci-fi and fantasy books that could use a film adaptation! I'm particularly thinking of this one, a classic of science fiction:

I dont really like sci-fi, the only one I liked was the handmaidens tale.

3/29/2011 #105
surfercharlie25

Well, yeah, a lot of it is trash, I'll give you that :) The classics of it are all as good as anything else, though, I think :)

One author said: "95% of anything is s***, the 5% is what makes life worth living." I like that :)

3/29/2011 #106
Rosemarysgraden001

It was just nvr my thing, I know someone who is obsessed with sci-fi and loves it.

3/29/2011 #107
surfercharlie25

Ah :) I used to be, then I discovered horror and thrillers :) Sci-fi makes my head hurt :) I guess I'm just not smart enough to handle it.

3/29/2011 #108
Rosemarysgraden001

Its not for evryone, thrillers arent as bad as horror films.

3/29/2011 #109
surfercharlie25

Ah :) You're right, nothing is for everyone except kindness :) Wow, that sounded like a Hallmark card!

What kind of thrillers do you like?

3/29/2011 #110
Rosemarysgraden001

I would have to think about it

3/29/2011 #111
surfercharlie25

Okay :) I was just wondering if you like thrillers based on true stories, like this one:

Sometimes.

Ah :) Speaking of movies, I just went to the video rental place :) They didn't have All the President's Men!!! GAAAH!!! They did, however, have Deliverance, which is brilliant :) and Downhill Racer, which is a decent skiing movie starring a young Robert Redford and Gene Hackman :) I got them both :)

Oh, and the lady who runs that store has the COOLEST cat! She told me his name once, but I can't remember it :) I call him Socks, because he's all black with white paws :)

3/29/2011 #114
Rosemarysgraden001

Awww that cat sounds so cute, I could see you getting both.

3/29/2011 #115
surfercharlie25

He's awesome! He's really precocious! He must be a kitten or at least really young; he's pretty small :) He's fun :)

Haha! I think you know me too well... :)

3/29/2011 #116
Rosemarysgraden001

If I talk to someone long enough, I get to know them, i mean ur like a friend, but I talk to you online. lol Aww the kitten sounds extra cute now.

3/29/2011 #117
surfercharlie25

haha yeah, online friends are fun to have ;) I went through a sad time when I actually had more online friends than real-life friends; no more!

Cats are so cool :) I love their world-weary, "I don't care" attitude :) They are like the James Dean of the animal world :) **obscure actor reference over**

3/29/2011 #118
Rosemarysgraden001

thats sounds like no fun, cats are ok to me, I dont like cats or dogs better.

3/29/2011 #119
surfercharlie25

Yeah, I like 'em both equally :)

Do you have any pets?
