Currently Working On: Rooftops and Morning to Night to Morning
I started writing sometime in middle school, which puts me at this moment at about seven years of experience. I'm no pro, nor have I taken any actual schooling, but I like to think that I'm alright. I write about things that interest me in ways that I hope will interest others.
I like to think I have a diverse pallet of genres that I write from, although I'm not entirely sure that I've found my niche quite yet. For now, I take ideas as they come and tell them to the best of my ability.
I get inspired pretty easily, from seeing an ad on a passing bus to conversations I've had to other already published stories. Despite this, I strive to make my stories as much my own as I can. While I may take inspiration from others, I manipulate it to make it mine.
Something to keep in mind going in is that I generally prefer to go for a raw, real, and often dark and unconventional path when it comes to writing. I try to tell fictional stories that feel real, no matter how surreal the scenario may be. Yes, I have written a few oddball shorts that take place somewhere completely opposite to Earth, but for the most part this is my goal. My definition of a good story may be a little (or a lot) different to yours, so be warned.
As it stands, I do want to get my work printed and sold one day, so this is mostly a platform for smaller projects of mine. Short stories and the occasionally novella, a small idea that I write just for fun to distract from a bigger project. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get some feedback from here as well on how to improve my writing, so if you have some thoughts please leave a review. I'm pretty good at taking criticism, so rip my story apart if you feel the need!
